"Police Quest 4" Part 2 Trivia Quiz

"Police Quest 4" doesn't completely ignore the previous games; it has one reference. The name of the computer server is of course a reference to Sonny Bonds, the protagonist of the earlier "Police Quest" games.

Answer: Rude Boys Get Bail

The letters RBGB are painting on the wall of the building next to the dumpster where Washington's body was. Carey looks on the computer in the homicide office to see what RBGB might stand for. He finds information on several gangs including the three wrong answers, but the only one that could correspond to RBGB is "Rude Boys Get Bail."

Answer: Push her

The LAPD doesn't want to talk to the media. The death of a police officer makes the police department look bad and they don't want the media to make things worse. If you try talking to her, Carey will just keep saying "No comment." The lady won't get out of your way, so in order to get past her, you have to push her. You get points for doing this and it's the only way to leave Parker Center (the first time). Later on in the game people will be very angry at Carey for doing it, but there's nothing you can do about it nor is there anything they will do about it.

This is one of the more ridiculous puzzles in all of adventure games. Who would actually think that the solution to a puzzle would be to push a woman? In a game where you play as a policeman, the kind of person who's supposed to be setting an example? It's not like the woman had done anything wrong either; she was just doing her job. And he's on TV when he does this, so everybody in L.A. who watches the news sees Carey push a woman. As you can imagine, this gives people a negative opinion of Carey and his boss scolds him. Nonetheless, you have to do this.

Answer: The store owner shoots you

First, the angry store owner will warn you to pay. Then, she'll draw a gun. If you attempt to steal a third time, she shoots you. Like several other Sierra games, you cannot shoplift in this one.

Answer: LaSondra Washington

If you give an apple to LaSondra Washington, Bobby's sister, she will tell you that she saw a pretty woman wearing a pretty red dress in the alley where the murders happened. Some of this information turns out to be false but it's important nonetheless (she does not know that it is false).

Answer: Emmo Jones

While investigating the murders, Carey finds a neighborhood boy named Emmo Jones. At first he doesn't tell Carey much, but at the end of the day he calls Carey in his office telling him he has information on the murder of Bobby Washington. Unfortunately, once Carey returns to South Central L.A., Emmo is attacked by the gang and Carey gets stuck in a gang shootout, where he's likely to die if the player isn't skilled or lucky enough (it's one of the harder parts of the game). If the player does everything right during this part of the game, Carey will survive, but he'll begin the next day being scolded by Lt. Block for being there. Carey ends up learning from Lt. Block that Emmo testified against the killer of Bobby Washington, and that killer was arrested. You don't have to worry about that killer for the rest of the game.

There's still plenty to worry about with the other killer though.

Answer: Raymond Jones

The key word in the question is "real." So if you answered Ragtopp Spiff, you didn't read the question closely enough. The killer's REAL name is Raymond Jones, as you learn from Bernadette Washington (Bobby's mother). Bernadette says Jones is the only person in the world who would want to hurt Bobby. Emmo fills us in with the details on why he did this. According to Emmo, Raymond ordered Washington to deliver guns to members of his gang and he wouldn't do it.

Answer: Rene Garcia

Garcia's dead body is found outside a rapper's house. His car is found near a strip club and a music store. The evidence suggests that it is the same man that killed Hickman (but not the same man who killed Washington).

Answer: Yo Money

The rapper whose lawn Rene Garcia is found in is named Yo Money. He is afraid of accusations that the increasing violence in the streets is because of his music. He does not actually know anything about the murder of Rene Garcia, but he does give out the name of a bad man named Dennis Walker who had been harassing him.

Answer: Red slipper

If you answered "red dress," that was mentioned in LaSondra's testimony. It wasn't found on Yo Money's lawn. However, the red slipper is consistent with LaSondra's testimony that it was a woman who liked to wear red.

Answer: Nothing

After Yo Money tells Carey about Dennis Walker, Carey goes over to Walker's house to learn more. However, instead of telling Carey anything, Walker attempts to assist in a murder of Carey. He takes Carey to the living room where his stereo is, and intentionally plays loud music so that he can't hear a word Carey is saying. Carey tries to get information out of him, but realizing the music is too loud, he asks Dennis to turn it down. Dennis then tells Carey to turn it down. Carey does so, but as he's doing so, Dennis runs off and his girlfriend attempts to kill Carey. Whether or not she succeeds depends on how skilled the player is. If the player does everything right, the girlfriend gets arrested.

Later in the game you do find that the killer may have been a fan of Yo Money's music but you don't learn that from Dennis Walker.

Answer: The bar

Julie Chester invites Carey to the bar with her and her friends. Carey accepts and goes to the bar once he has done everything he needs to do for the day. There he needs to get some pretzels. He can also chat with his friends. Lastly, he can get drunk. Getting drunk does not get him killed.

Answer: City hall

At the end of day 3 in the bar, Lt. Block tells Carey that he needs to be in City Hall at 9 AM. So Carey goes there at 9 AM the next day. There he learns of another murder. He then must deal with questions from a bunch of paranoid citizens. The player can make him answer those questions if he or she wants.

At the end of this part he will be attacked by Dennis Walker. He must deal with Walker the same way he dealt with his girlfriend.

Answer: Griffith Park

Carey is told that the body of a third victim of the serial killer is found in Griffith Park. He goes there to investigate later in the day and finds a bone, which he gives to the coroner. It is discovered that the third victim is not a cop, which means that the killer isn't just killing cops as it was previously thought.

Answer: Depending on what the player does, he might kill John Carey

Dennis Walker clearly turns out to be a bad man. But he has nothing to do with any of the murders that the protagonist John Carey investigates in this game. The only person he attempts to murder in this game is Carey. Whether or not he succeeds depends on what the player does.

He hates Yo Money, but he does not kill him. Yo Money does not die in this game. Emmo Jones does not die in this game either. Even if he did, Dennis Walker had nothing to do with the attack on him.
