And I agree with Redwaldo about Gerry Rafferty, who was a genius. Here's my second list. Addictive this, isn't it? 1961 The Dave Brubeck Quartet - Take Five http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwNrmYRiX_o 1962 B. Bumble & The Stingers - Nut Rocker Better than I realised when it was in the charts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Op2U-qGUDkg 1965 Unit 4 + 2 - Concrete and Clay *sigh* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBVq6bag9z8 1965 The Yardbirds - For Your Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU5zqidlxMQ 1966 The Kinks - Sunny Afternoon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1h1oRP7FfBw&NR=1 1967 Spanky and our gang - Sunday will never be the same http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OsfzU_XRas 1967 Tom Lehrer - We Will All Go Together When We Go (Easily as cheerful as any of his other songs.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frAEmhqdLFs 1968 The Turtles - Elenore (Off-the-wall lyrics.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZofFpizK04 1972 Colin Blunstone - Say You Don't Mind Love the voice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-wekAq-s34 1972 Stealers Wheel - Stuck In The Middle With You (I have no idea what the picture of Bob Dylan is doing there. I didn't want to post the official video because it would put you off eating ever again.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1e63MpTDt8 1975 Steeleye Span - All Around My Hat Love this voice too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zzwbYyvWiU Seems I can't count. I don't think I'd be able to decide on just ten songs, but I will tell you that one of the best songs I've ever heard in my entire life is "Miss American Pie" by Don McLean. The meaning behind the song makes it even more heartfelt & special to me. I've loved this song since I was 5 years old & always will. It means a lot to me & is so unforgettable. There are just no words to describe what this song means to me & how it makes me feel. Long story! I'll treasure it forever. Reply #26. Jan 15 11, 8:12 PM |

An impossible task, indeed! I'll probably have to revise this list later, but here it is off the top of my head and in no particular order: A Day in the Life ~ The Beatles About 90% of the Beatles canon Imagine ~ Lennon Satisfaction ~ The Stones Like a Rolling Stone ~ Dylan What's Going On ~ Marvin Gaye Smells Like Teen Spirit ~ Nirvana London Calling ~ The Clash Thunder Road ~ Springsteen Black Dog ~ Led Zeppelin White Light/White Heat ~ Velvet Underground These are not necessarily my favorite songs by the artists, but I chose the ones that were very influential... And, yes, I have 11... I told you it was impossible! There are so many phenomenally important songs that are not on the list! Reply #32. Jan 16 11, 11:53 AM |

It's surprising how much you give away about your personality with your top 10 choice isn't it! Reply #33. Jan 16 11, 1:02 PM |
