St. George-Illawarra
1979. They lost four heartbreaking grand finals since then: in 1985 to Canterbury-Bankstown, both 1992 and 1993 to Brisbane, and 1996 to Manly-Warringah (and 1999 to Melbourne as St George-Illawarra).
