'Judgement'. In the first episode, Angel accidently kills a protector of a pregnant mother, who is expecting a miracle child. So, in killing her champion, Angel has to take over this role and fight to the death at the tribunal.

Fred. Amy Acker played Winifred Burkle, who became a regular in season three.
The Host. The Host is played by Andy Hallett in his second acting role. The part of The Host was written especially for Andy after Joss Whedon heard him singing at a Blues Revue. Andy had a tiny role on "Buffy's" season four episode "Hush" before playing the Host. After being cast has the Host, he then co-starred in Amber Benson's film "Chance", with several other "Buffy" alum. The Host's karaoke bar is called Caritas and it is a demon sanctuary. At the end of season two, in Pylea, the audience learns his real name is Krevlorneswath and he prefers to be called Lorne.

David Nabbit. David Nabbit was introduced towards the end of series one and was at first mean to be a recurring character, but the film commitments of David Herman who played him meant that he wasn't available.
Gavin Park first appeared at the end of season two, after Lindsey McDonald left Wolfram and Hart. Gavin was played by future "Lost" star, Daniel Dae Kim.

Bethany. In the episode Bethany is staying with Lilah Morgan, a lawyer for Wolfram and Hart, who hope to turn her into an assassin. Also in this episode Darla is visiting Angel in his dreams reminding him of all the evil things they did together. In one scene when Darla is removing Angel's jumper his tattoo is missing!

3. In this episode, Angel realises that Wolfram and Hart have brought Darla back as a human and she is going by the name of DeEtta Kramer. He corners her and she finally admits to being Darla and she wants to give him happiness to get Angelus back. Angel tells her that she never made him happy.
Wesley. In this episode Angel is away visiting a swami, T'ish Magev, so Wesley pretends to be Angel to get a job protecting the daughter of a rich businessman. Wesley ends up falling for the girl, Virginia, and in the end have to save her from being used a sacrifice by her father.

the master . The flashbacks in the episode also show the relationship Angelus had with Darla after he was given back his soul. At the end, Darla begs Angel to turn her again or kill her as she can't live with her new soul. Angel tells her he can't and she leaves him telling him not to look for her again.
Mark Metcalf reprised his role as the Master, last seen previously in season three of "Buffy".

True. He is released, however, at the end when Kate comes into the station alive and well. Earlier events showed Angel acting undercover to get the shroud but something weird was happening and he felt himself change. He bit Kate as she was trying to stop the theft. Kate's flashbacks show that although Angel did drink from her, he whispered to her to stay down or she would be killed.
No. Although Angel passes the trial, he is told that Darla cannot be saved as she has already been given a second chance at life. Angel and Darla go back to her hotel to prepare for her death but two men break down the door and in walks Drusilla who turns Darla into a vampire again as Angel can only watch.

Anne. Anne was first seen in the "Buffy" episode "Lie To Me" as one of a group vampire wannabes going by the name of Chanterelle. She then appeared in another "Buffy" episode "Anne" where she was now called Lily. Buffy helped her escape from a demon named Ken who was taking homeless people to hell. At the end of this episode she asked Buffy is she could use her name and that's why she is now known as Anne, which is Buffy's middle name. Julia Lee played Anne Steele in two episodes of season two, but Angel never knew of her connection to Buffy and Sunnydale. She reprised the role one last time, in the series finale "Not Fade Away".

We also meet Francine Sharp in this episode whose daughter Stephanie was bitten by a demon and now has a third eye in the back of her head.

No. Despite the fact that Angel sleeps with Darla, he does not lose his soul. I guess that Darla just didn't make him happy. Angel also saves Kate Lockley's life in this episode by saving her from an overdose. Kate says that she now believes in Angel, as she didn't invite him in to her apartment but he could still enter anyway.

Cops Suck. This episode was the last episode that we seen Lindsey McDonald until season 5. He came back in season five, posing as Doyle to Spike. Lindsey is played by Christian Kane.

Landok . This episode shows Fred on screen for the first time. Cordy has a vision which shows a girl, a portal and a library. When the gang reach the library, they learn that Fred disappeared 5 years ago. Landok comes through a portal in the library and when Lorne opens the portal to send him back Cordy gets sucked in to.
Cows. The gang use Angel's convertible to travel to Pylea so that they stay together. Although the suns in Pylea is shining brightly Angel doesn't burst into flames because he is in another dimension. We also find out that he has a reflection.
Amy Acker. Physicist Winifred "Fred" Burkle was saved by Angel and the gang from Pylea, where she had been trapped for 5 years.
No. Lorne was not welcomed back to Pylea, as his leaving had shamed his "life giver". Lorne came through a portal Fred had opened 5 years earlier. It landed him in Los Angeles, and he built Caritas on the spot he arrived at. That is why Caritas was a portal to and from Pylea.
Tom McCleister played Lorne's mother. He reunited with David Boreanaz in 2006 on David's hit series "Bones".
