Interesting Questions, Facts, and Information

    'Star Trek: Voyager' - Alphabetical

In "Unimatrix Zero," we find out that Seven had had a romantic relationship with another Borg. What was his name?Alphabetical "Voyager" - A

Axum. Axum contacted Seven through Unimtrix Zero. After she realised what was happening, Seven was able to convince Janeway to help the Borg. Unfortunately, in order to save the drones' lives, Unimatrix Zero could no longer exist, meaning that Axum and Seven would not see each other again as Axum was in a remote section of the Beta Quadrant.

While on the topic of Seven, what is her human name?Alphabetical "Voyager" - A

Annika. Annika Hansen was assimilated at a young age while traveling with her parents, who were studying the Borg. While in Unimatrix Zero, Seven referred to herself as Annika and not Seven.

What is the name of Neelix's favourite sister?Alphabetical "Voyager" - A

Alixia. Alixia and Neelix used to go hunting for arctic spiders together. After she died in Talax's war with the Haakonian Order, Neelix kept her necklace as a memento. When Neelix had a near-death experience, he needed to gather objects that represented himself in order to use Chakotay's akoonah - one of the objects her brought was his sister's necklace. ("Mortal Coil")

What was the name of the ship that Commander Braxton commanded in "Future's End"?Alphabetical "Voyager" - A

Aeon. The Aeon crashed on 1967 Earth and Commander Braxton was trapped. When the Voyager crew travelled back in time and found Braxton, he had spent many years in 20th century Earth. Because of this, he would eventually try to destroy Voyager.

What type of instrument was the Caretaker playing when Chakotay, Janeway and others went to the array for the second time?Alphabetical "Voyager" - B

banjo. He was sitting on the porch, alone, plucking at the banjo.

What did Janeway use to get the 'scientists' off her ship in "Scientific Method"?Alphabetical "Voyager" - B

binary pulsar. She played chicken with the scientists. If they wouldn't leave her crew alone, she would fly the ship through the pulsar, destroying the ship. However, once the scientists did leave, it was too late for her to steer Voyager away from the binary pulsar and the ship had to go in between them.

Janeway played Queen Arachnia of the Spider People on the holodeck. By what other name can this character be called?Alphabetical "Voyager" - B

Bride of Chaotica. In the episode "Bride of Chaotica!," Janeway has to go into the holodeck in order to help some aliens to stop attacking the holodeck. Paris convinces her to don the Arachnia costume and go into Dr. Chaotica's lair. While in the lair, Chaotica decides to marry Queen Arachnia in order to consolidate their empires.

"Non Sequitur" What is the last name of Harry's friend who was assigned to Voyager?Alphabetical "Voyager" - B

Byrd. When Harry woke up in San Francisco, he found out that his friend Daniel Byrd had been assigned to Voyager in his place. Although back in the Alpha Quadrant with his girlfriend, he felt it was not fair that his friend Daniel was in the Delta Quadrant. Harry set about trying to find a way back to his own timeline, with the help of a Tom Paris who spent all his time in Marseilles playing pool.

A red alert means big trouble a head while yellow alert means possible big trouble. What colour is the alert to tell people the ship is going to land?Alphabetical "Voyager" - B

blue. In the first episode where the ship is landed, Janeway orders Paris to begin preparations to land the ship. He replies that she should know that he's never landed a starship before. Janeway replies with "Neither have I." She sure does know how to make people feel safe, doesn't she? ;)

Unlike a 'normal' starship, when it was built some of the circuity on Voyager was replaced with what?Alphabetical "Voyager" - B

Bio-neural. In one episode, Neelix had been making cheese in sickbay which ended up infecting some of the bio-neural gel packs. One of the oddest lines in "Star Trek" history was uttered by Torres as she said "Get the cheese to sickbay!" In order to stop the infection in the ship's systems, the Doctor suggested inducing a 'fever' in the ship as a way to kill the infection.

The Emergency Medical Hologram is also known as the EMH. What 'program' was the doctor running (for the most part) during "Workforce" when he was the only being aboard the ship?Alphabetical "Voyager" - E

ECH. The ECH is the Emergency Command Hologram. The Doctor had the idea that, when needed, the ECH could take command of the ship and would have all the command codes transferred to him. When the crew abandoned ship in "Workforce," one of the last things Janeway did was activate the ECH.

Holograms (or photonic beings) are made of photons and forcefields, but what are humanoids made of (according to the title of an episode)?Alphabetical "Voyager" - F

flesh and blood. This episode dealt with the aftermath of Janeway's decision to give holodeck technology to the Hirogen in "The Killing Game." The Hirogen were killed the holograms over and over again and, like the doctor, they became more and more sentient. These holograms killed the Hirogen hunters, kidnapped the Doctor, and set off to free other 'photonic beings.'

While believing he was an American GI, Tom tested Harry Kim to see if Harry was 'one of the good guys.' What woman did Tom ask Harry to identify?Alphabetical "Voyager" - G

Grable. Tom asked Harry what part of Betty Grable Harry would be looking at. Harry had to think for a moment, but answered correctly - her legs. "The Killing Game."

What music group was Harry a member of while still on Earth?Alphabetical "Voyager" - I And J

Julliard Youth Symphony. In "Caretaker", Janeway tells Tuvok that she had received a call from Harry's mother just before they were due to leave Deep Space Nine. Harry had forgotten his clarinet and his mother wondered if there was time to send it for him. Janeway had to tell his mother there wasn't any time and during the conversation, she learns that Harry had been a member of the Julliard Youth Symphony.

Tom Paris created a holodeck program that many of the crew enjoyed. However, Tom and Harry debated over the weather for the program. Tom wanted sunny skies and Harry thought that fog and rain would be more appropriate. In what country was this program set?Alphabetical "Voyager" - I And J

Ireland. "Fair Haven" was Tom's program that everyone, especially the captain, enjoyed. Janeway even ended up having a romantic relationship with the bartender that Tom had programmed and Harry had a romance with a flower vendor.

When Neelix's lungs were removed by the Vidiians, the doctor had to use what restraint to keep him still so the holographic lungs could work?Alphabetical "Voyager" - I And J

isotropic restraint. Unfortunately, the lungs were altered and implanted into a Vidiian so implanting them back into Neelix wasn't possible. However, the Vidiians did help alter one of Kes' lungs so that she could donate one to Neelix in "Phage."

Most everyone knows that Seska was a traitor and wound up trying to help the Kazon capture Voyager. However, not many people remember there was another traitor aboard the ship who helped Seska. What was his or her name?Alphabetical "Voyager" - I And J

Jonas. Michael Jonas sabotaged Voyager, sent the Kazon intelligence reports and basically was a very bad man. During "investigations," Neelix started poking around and figured out that it was Jonas who was actually the spy, not Tom Paris as the rest of the crew had been led to believe. Of course, Jonas died in this episode while trying to stop Neelix from telling anyone about his spying activities aboard the ship.

Tuvok took his four 'misfits' into what part of the ship as part of their physical fitness training in "Learning Curve"?Alphabetical "Voyager" - I And J

Jefferies tube. Tuvok made the crewmembers go all through the ship - without using any turbolifts.

Tuvok created a holodeck program to train his security teams in the event that the Maquis tried to take over Voyager. What was the name of his program?Alphabetical "Voyager" - I And J

Insurrection Alpha. In "Worst Case Scenario," this program was 'the rage' for all the crew. Perhaps part of the intrigue of this program was that the author was anonymous. It turns out that Tuvok had begun to write the program as a precaution in case the Maquis tried to take over control of the ship. However, as time went on and that scenario became unlikely, Tuvok stopped work on the program. Tom Paris convinced Tuvok to help him finish the program (as all the crew wanted to know how it ended), however they were unaware the Seska had found the program, and written an ending of her own.

What was the last name of Janeway's fiance, whom she left to command Voyager?Alphabetical "Voyager" - I And J

Johnson. Mark Johnson was seen saying goodbye to Kathryn in "Caretaker." Apparently, Kathryn's dog was pregnant and Mark had taken her home to care for her while Kathryn was away on Voyager. (Mark had said something about a 'love me, love my dog' issue.) We hear about him again in "Hunters", when he sent a long-distance "I'm leaving you for another woman" letter, although I'm sure it was phrased much nicer than what I have just written. Note: Mark's last name was never stated in the series, but if you have a good television, you can see it when the screen shows the PADD with his letter in "Hunters." His last name was originally established in Jeri Taylor's novel "Mosaic."

Many people know the captain's first name. But some don't know how to spell it. So, what is Captain Janeway's first name?Alphabetical "Voyager" - K

kathryn. Kathryn Janeway wasn't the first of her family to join Starfleet. Her father had been an admiral.

Naomi Wildman's mother is human, but what species is her father?Alphabetical "Voyager" - K

Ktarian. Naomi's father's name was Greskrendtregk. Apparently, Ktarians grow faster than humans as Naomi seemed to go from a baby to a small child within a season!

    Tuvok enjoyed what game?Alphabetical "Voyager" - K

kal-toh. Harry Kim had never beaten Tuvok, but in "Endgame," Icheb was able to win, although it could be because Tuvok's mental state was deteriorating. We never really got the rules of the game, but the players would take turns arranging rods on a pile of other rods, trying to get a geometric shape to show itself.

B'Elanna's unborn child was considered sacred to a group of people from what species?Alphabetical "Voyager" - K

klingon . This happened in "Prophecy." A group of Klingons encountered Voyager and they blew up their ship to get closer to Torres. It turns out that B'Elanna's child is the Klingons' savior as the Doctor used cells form the baby in order to cure an inherited disease that plagues the Klingons.

What is the name of Chakotay's father?Alphabetical "Voyager" - K

Kolopak. Kolopak took his son on a trek into the Amazon in order to find the Rubber Tree People. He was upset when Chakotay decided to reject his heritage (and join Starfleet). Chakotay would come around and appreciate his heritage, and got the tattoo on his forehead to honor his father with.

In "Year of Hell," what race was Annorax?Alphabetical "Voyager" - K

Krenim. The Krenim Imperium had been fighting with the Rilnar so Annorax decided to build a timeship to wipe them from history. What Annorax didn't think about was all the different things that wouldn't have existed without the Rilnar, so he spent the rest of his life trying to 'undo' his work.

"Counterpoint" was a wonderful episode featuring some classical music pieces from Earth. Besides Janeway, who else talked about their love of music in this episode?Alphabetical "Voyager" - K

Kashyk. Kashyk was a Devoran Inspector who kept boarding Voyager looking for telepaths. When his people were inspecting the ship, he decided to start playing some classical music from the ship's database to 'calm' Voyager's crew. This was a wonderful episode that was like a game of chess between Janeway and Kashyk.

Who was the person who donated one of their lungs to Neelix?Alphabetical "Voyager" - K

Kes. Neelix's lungs had been stolen by the Vidiians, so (after many threats from Captain Janeway) they agreed to transplant one of Kes' lungs into Neelix. Kafar was the name of the person who aided the Ferengi...er, Great Sages in "False Profits."

Who was the woman that Chakotay 'forgot'?Alphabetical "Voyager" - K

Kellin. "Unforgettable" - Kellin was from a secretive race that left no trace of themselves. Other species weren't able to remember them, scanners wouldn't scan them, etc. Chakotay eventually wrote down (with paper!) about his time with Kellin so he could remember. Now if only he could remember where he put that paper... ;)

Who did Seven accuse of stealing her nanoprobes and ultimately died as a result of her accusation?Alphabetical "Voyager" - K

Kovin. Seven was encouraged to try to remember what happened - and her memories of becoming a Borg got mixed in with her memories of Kovin. As even an accusation of impropriety could kill his business, Kovin tried to run from the authorities, and died before Voyager could tell him they discovered he was actually innocent.

In what episode do we see the Hirogen take over Voyager and use the crew as prey?Alphabetical "Voyager" - K

the Killing Game . We never do see how the Hirogen did take control, Seven gives us the most information (she had been in a phaser-fight) and we learn that half the crew was locked in their quarters. Harry was forced to make the holodecks bigger and keep the ship running. And Neelix became a great Klingon warrior.
