 Zatch Bell
light green. This Mamodo commands roots to come up from underground. His master is so interested in training that he doesn't care who he hurts. Kiyo does not tolerate this, and rescues the people from the roots with Zatch's help. Then, he battles and defeats this Mamodo with the help of his friends.
some fruit. Suzy instructs Kiyo to eat the fruit progressively as he gets better. Each fruit had a face drawn on it. One was sad, one happy, and the third was delighted. Suzy told Kiyo to eat the sad one first and work up to the delighted one when he was fully recovered.
Suzy . Suzy means well, but she's a little intellectually challenged. By the end of the episode, the receptionist says that she has asked for directions to Kiyo's room fifty times.
Rekom. Rekom is partnered with a man who harbors bitterness in his heart. This man uses his Mamodo for evil, attacking others and robbing a bank. Kiyo becomes the 'Hero of Justice' again at Zatch's suggestion and stops Ajikawa, Rekom's master, from robbing the bank.
Wind. Kiyo and Zatch must stand up to a skateboarder, Ido, on top of the junior high building in order to save Suzy, an acquaintance of Kiyo. The Zaker spell destroys part of the school building. Oddly enough, this is ignored by the administration; school is in session again the next day.
Operation Hero of Justice. Zatch Bell figures that if Kiyo stands up to the school bully Kane, thus being a 'Hero of Justice', the students would like him more. Kiyo walks away from the battle with some bruises (from both Kane and Hyde, Ido's wind Mamodo), but more importantly, knowledge of Zatch's power and somewhat elevated self-esteem.
jr. high school. Kiyo is a very intelligent junior high school student. As a result, other students interpret Kiyo as having an air of superiority and shun him for his apparent arrogance. Though hard on the outside, Kiyo has the desire to make friends and change his selfish ways with Zatch's help.
Kiyo's father gives him Zatch. Kiyo's father lives away from home. He finds Zatch unconscious and brings him back to health. To return the favor, Zatch agrees to go to be with Kiyo. Kiyo is very introverted, and Zatch is given to Kiyo to encourage Kiyo to make friends with other people.
