Answer: Andrew Ryan

Born in Dubbo, NSW his Junior Club was St Johns Dubbo. A leading Second Rower he has played 7 State of Origin games for NSW 2001, 2004-05; 6 Tests for Australia 2004-05, Tri Nations Tour 2005; Country Origin 2002, 2004-05.
He made his debut into First Grade with Parramatta against Brisbane, at Parramatta Stadium on February 11, 2000 (Rd 2). Won the NRL Premiership with the Bulldogs in 2004.
2. Who was the nominated captain for the 2008 Wests Tigers?

Answer: Brett Hodgson

Brett Hodgson was born in Liverpool, NSW and his Junior Club was East-Valley United. The little Fullback has played 3 State of Origin games for NSW Series 2002; City 2001-02, 2004-05. His First Grade debut was with Wests against v South Queensland at Campbelltown Stadium on May 18, 1997.

He played in Tigers Grand Final winning Premiership team in 2005. The Wests Tigers became the first ever joint venture club to win the premiership, having formed in 2000 as a union between the Balmain Tigers and Western Suburbs Magpies, both foundation members of the original NSWRFL.

Steve Price was born in Dalby, Queensland and his junior club was Newtown (Toowoomba - not Sydney). He played 17 State of Origin games for Queensland 1998-2005; 10 tests 1998-2005 and the Tri-Nations tour 2005. Pricey was a big loss to the Bulldogs when he moved to Auckland, but he played for the Bulldogs from 1994 to 2004 and was a great captain. Pricey's First Grade Debut was for the Bulldogs against Balmain, at the traditional doggies home ground - Belmore Oval on July 3, 1994.

He was in the Premiership winning side of 1995 and unfortunately due to injury wasn't able to captain the side in the 2004 Grand Final victory.

Jonathan Thurston was born in Brisbane, Queensland and his Junior Club was the All Whites, Toowoomba. This tiny halfback had represented Queensland in State of Origin for 6 games for 2005-06. He played 5 Tests for Australia 2006 and his first Grade debut was with the Bulldogs against Penrith, at Penrith Football Stadium on June 8, 2002.

Danny Buderus. A Taree boy born and bred whose Junior Club was of course Taree. Buderus had played 15 State of Origin games for NSW 2002-06; 24 Tests 2001-06; Kangaroo Tour 2001, 2003; Tri-Nations 2004-06. He had only ever played for Newcastle and made his First Grade debut against South Queensland at Marathon Stadium on March 23, 1997. Biuderus had played in two of Newcastle's Premiership winning sides 1997 and 2001.

Nathan Cayless made his First Grade debut for Parramatta against South Queensland at Parramatta Stadium on June 8, 1997. At the start of season 2008, Cayless will have played 143 games and scored 23 tries a total of 92 points. Nathan Cayless played 25 International Rugby League Tests for New Zealand from 1998-2005. He was in the World Cup squad in 2000 and was the New Zealand Captain in 2001.
