Question 1 of 10
1. (2001) I am Saruman the white, a great wizard. I have been head of my order for years. However I have gazed into the orb, and seen the colour of the future. The Dark Lord has grown so strong that it is folly to oppose him; the only hope of survival is to join forces. It is a pity that that fool Gandalf lacks the vision to see this, and refuses to yield the ring of power that will put me on an equal footing with Sauron. This is why I must keep him locked in my tower. Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. (1994) As next in line to be king, I was content to sit and wait for my big brother to die. But when he fathered that disgusting little cub and expected me to fall down and worship the brat, I knew that something had to be done. So I enlisted the help of my friends, the hyenas, and together we orchestrated a stampede that killed my brother, and put me in command, where I rightfully belonged. I made the mistake of assuming that they also killed my nephew, a mistake that I would regret when he came back to avenge his father's death, and resume control of the pride.

Answer: (Three Words, first one The)
Question 3 of 10
3. (1988) My name is Archie Leach, and I am a barrister who has always tried to live a good honest life. However things get more than a little crazy when I am retained to represent an accused jewel thief, and get drawn into the crazy, back-stabbing antics of his gang. Of particular interest to me is his gorgeous, American girlfriend, who is planning to steal all of the diamonds for herself. When I am assaulted by my client in court, and threatened with a divorce from my wife, I decide that it's time to get a piece of the action for myself. So I somehow managed to reconnect with the girl who has the diamonds, and we retire to South America. Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. (2001) My name is Kate Wheeler, and before I hooked up with these two guys I was living a very boring and frustrating life with a husband who did not appreciate me at all. After they broke out of jail, Terry Lee and Joe were making a big name for themselves, because of their unique way of robbing banks. Terry Lee was forced to kidnap me at first, but when it came time to release me, I refused to leave. Not only was I having more fun than I'd ever had before, but I found that I was beginning to fall in love...with both of them. Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. (2002) My name is Justin Pendleton, and I am a brilliant high school student. My friend Richard, who is almost as brilliant, and I conceived and executed the perfect murder, for no other reason than to prove that we could. It was fun matching wits with that beautiful lady cop, and even more fun pinning the murder on the custodian from the school. We would have gotten away with it too, if Richard hadn't lost his cool. Even though I left DNA evidence when I threw up near the dumpsite, they could never have proven that I'd actually killed that woman. Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. (1985) My name is Chief Paul Schaffer, and for most of my life I've been one of the good guys. It's hard though, having to spend your life making a cop's salary, and watching the bad guys get rich. So when I wanted to make a little extra for my retirement, I started running some drug deals with a couple of cops I could trust. It was painful, having to arrange the killing of a fellow officer, but it would have ended there if that little Amish boy hadn't witnessed the killing. I should have known that Book would figure the thing out though, and now he's hiding out in the Amish community somewhere, protecting that kid and causing me a world of trouble.

Answer: (One Word - 7 letters)
Question 7 of 10
7. (1994) My name is Louis de Pointe du Lac, and I have to be honest and say that when Lestat offered me immortality, I did choose to accept it. In my defense I can only say that I was distraught after the death of my beloved wife, and I had no idea how horrible it would be. Now, centuries later, I hate who I am, hate the fact that I must feed off others in order to live, and most of all I hate my association with that evil Lestat. I have tried to alter the course of my life many times over the years, but I am too weak. Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. (1996) My name is Major Vic Deakins, and for years I played the game and was a good little boy, and an amazingly good soldier. But then greed raised its ugly head, and I decided I wanted to go out in comfort. So I arranged to help a group of terrorists steal a couple of nuclear warheads from Uncle Sam. Where I made my mistake was in underestimating the resourcefulness and sheer determination of my friend Captain Hale who, along with a park ranger he hooked up with, completely messed up my plans. Who would have thought the guy could be so tenacious? I sure didn't. Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. (2000) My name is Dr. Norman Spencer, and I want you to know that I truly love my wife. The affair that I had with my student really meant nothing to me, and when she started getting possessive, and threatened to tell my wife, I had to do something to shut her up. Unfortunately the little witch came back and haunted my wife, who has now figured out what happened. Not only is she going to leave me, but she's going to report me to the police, and I just can't spend the rest of my life in jail. So, as much as I love my wife, she has to die. Maybe her daughter will give me the kind of comfort that I need. Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. (2003) My name is Aileen Wuornos, and life really hasn't been kind to me. Selby was the first person I ever met who really seemed to care for me. Although I tried to get a real job to support us, nothin' ever seemed to work out, and I'd end up back on the roads turnin' tricks. The first time I killed one of my johns was because he was beatin' on me real bad, so it was kinda like self-defense. I soon found it was easier to kill them and take all their money, then to turn tricks for what little they paid, so I kept it up. By the time I was caught, they was callin' me a monster, and I was executed by the State of Florida for my crimes.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts

Answer: Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

While Saruman is present throughout the story of the ring, it is in the first movie of the trilogy that he reveals his duplicity, and holds Gandalf prisoner (until the eagles rescue him). Tolkein's amazing story of the struggle for Middle Earth, which revolves around the determination of two small hobbits, is faithfully followed in Peter Jackson's masterpiece. Sean Astin, Sean Bean, Orlando Bloom, Billy Boyd, Ian McKellen, Dominic Monaghan, Viggo Mortensen, John Rhys-Davies and Elijah Wood (to name but a few) star.
2. (1994) As next in line to be king, I was content to sit and wait for my big brother to die. But when he fathered that disgusting little cub and expected me to fall down and worship the brat, I knew that something had to be done. I made the mistake of assuming that they also killed my nephew, a mistake that I would regret when he came back to avenge his father's death, and resume control of the pride.

Answer: The Lion King

Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff directed this amazing Disney film, which featured the voice talents of Jeremy Irons, Rowan Atkinson, Matthew Broderick, Whoopi Goldberg, James Earl Jones, Cheech Marin, Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Ernie Sabella.

Answer: A Fish Called Wanda

Charles Crichton directed this hysterically funny comedy that proves the old adage about honour among thieves. Kevin Kline, the weapons' expert, steals the show as a bumbling ex-CIA operative, who fancies himself a philosopher. John Cleese, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Palin and Tom Georgeson also star.

Answer: Bandits

Willis and Thorton are the sleep-over bandits, a pair of prison escapees who hold bank managers hostage overnight, and then accompany them to work the next day. Blanchett is the bored housewife who hooks up with first one, then the other, and eventually both of these bandits, providing an interesting triangle that actually seems to work.

The interplay between Cate Blanchett, Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thorton is so magical, it's hard to imagine this movie working with anyone else. Barry Levinson directed.

Answer: Murder By Numbers

Ben Chaplin, Ryan Gosling, Sandra Bullock and Michael Pitt star under Barbet Schroder's direction. Loosely based on Hitchcock's 'Rope', 'Murder By Numbers' has some really interesting moments. The plot is weakened, however, by how quickly Bullock focuses on the two boys as suspects, without much more to go on than a hunch.

Answer: Witness

Josef Sommer, Harrison Ford, Kelly McGillis, Lukas Haas and Danny Glover starred in this excellent film, under Peter Weir's direction. The clash of cultures as a wounded, big city detective is nursed back to life in the peaceful Amish community, is absolutely delightful.

Answer: Interview with the Vampire

Based on the novel by Anne Rice, the tale of Louis' life unfolds as he relates it to a reporter - a reporter who becomes obsessed with the idea of attaining immortality himself. Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Kirsten Dunst, Christian Slater and Antonio Banderas star, under Neil Jordan's direction.

Answer: Broken Arrow

John Woo directed this exciting film which finally convinced me that John Travolta could act. Christian Slater, Samantha Mathis and Delroy Lindo also starred.

Answer: What Lies Beneath

Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer starred in this suspenseful movie, under Robert Zemeckis' direction. Normally the hero, Ford gave a credible performance as a self-absorbed man, who believed his own lies.
10. (2003) My name is Aileen Wuornos, and life really hasn't been kind to me. Selby was the first person I ever met who really seemed to care for me. Although I tried to get a real job to support us, nothin' ever seemed to work out, and I'd end up back on the roads turnin' tricks. By the time I was caught, they was callin' me a monster, and I was executed by the State of Florida for my crimes.

Answer: Monster

Charlize Theron packed on the pounds, and took home an Oscar for her portrayal of real-life killer Aileen Wuornos, under Patty Jenkins' direction. Christina Ricci also starred as Aileen's lover, Selby.
