Answer: Sammy Sosa

Sammy hit 49 for the Cubbies in 2002, 19 more than team runner-up, Fred McGriff. The others listed were not Cubs.
2. Which of the following, was the first New York Yankee to strikeout 300 batters in a season?

Answer: None listed

In the 20th century, Ron Guidry set a team mark for striking out 248 in 1978. This record was still untouched at the end of the century.
3. Which of the following Nelsons played from 1949-1961 with the Cardinals, Dodgers, White Sox, Pirates, and Indians?

Answer: Rocky Nelson

Although all listed were players, Rocky was shuttled around the Majors 8 times before retiring. He was mostly a reserve.

10. Maury Wills set a record in 1962 for what?

Answer: First player to steal 100 bases in a season

Wills broke an almost 50 record of Ty Cobb, by stealing 104 bases in 1962. Cobb stole 96 in 1915. This Los Angeles Dodger, also stole another 94 in 1965.
