1. Don Drysdale played his entire career with what team?

Answer: Dodgers

Drysdale's great arm was a part of the Dodgers organization from 1956-1969. His greatest season was in 1962, when he went 25-9 and won the Cy Young Award. Between Don's right arm, and fellow pitcher Sandy Koufax's left arm, this was a duo that terrorized National League batters.
2. Just prior to becoming the Red Sox, the team was named what?

Answer: Pilgrims

The franchise began as the Americans in 1901, then the Somersets in 1902. The name changed to the Pilgrims, who won the first World Series in 1903. The Red Sox name inaugurated Boston in 1907.
3. Which of the following hit 18 World Series home runs in his career?

Answer: Mickey Mantle

Mantle leads this bunch with 18, all with the Yankees. He appeared in 12 World Series, and hit 3 home runs in a Series, 3 times in his career. Reggie Jackson also hit 18 big ones in the postseason, but only 10 were in the Series.
4. In the 1990s, what team had 5 consecutive Rookie of the Year winners?

Answer: Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers ruled the rookies of baseball in the 1990s. It began with Eric Karros in 1992, and was then followed by Mike Piazza, Raul Mondesi, Hideo Nomo, and finally, Todd Hollandsworth in 1996.

Answer: 4

George got his money's worth with his 2002 bats. Giambi led the club with 41, with Soriano close behind with 39. Ventura hit 27, while the Yankee catcher Jorge Posada finished up with 20.

Answer: Babe Ruth

In his 2nd season with the Yankees, Ruth topped the 50 mark again by hitting 59 home runs. Along with his 177 runs scored, he had 171 RBIs and 204 hits. The others listed were not born yet.
7. What player had the nickname of 'Rapid Robert'?

Answer: Bob Feller

Feller was one of those loyal players who spent their entire career with one team. He played in 18 Indian seasons from 1936-1956, missing seasons due to World War II. He retired with 266 wins, and one World Series ring from the 1948 season.
8. Which Cuban, won the American League Rookie of the Year Award in 1964, and played his entire career with the Minnesota Twins?

Answer: Tony Oliva

After 15 seasons with the Twins, Oliva retired with a .304 career batting average, and 3 season batting titles. The others listed were once Twins, but played elsewhere also.
9. After being moved to the bullpen, what pitcher won the National League Rolaids Relief Award in 2002?

Answer: John Smoltz

Smoltz was only 3-2 on the season, but compiled 55 saves for the Braves. It was John's 14th season in baseball, and 2nd as a reliever.
10. In what year was Cy Young born?

Answer: 1867

He was born on March 29 in Ohio. His Major League debut was in 1890 with the Cleveland Spiders of the National League. His highest season mark was 36-12 in 1892. In those years, it was very common for a pitcher to appear in 50 games in a season. He retired with 511 wins in 1911, after 22 seasons.
