The Masters is one of the four major professional golf tournaments. The tournament is played annually at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. The great Jack Nicklaus won the Masters six times in his career. His first came in 1963, while his sixth jacket was awarded in 1986.

Answer: Chuck Cooper

Cooper was drafted in the second round of the 1950 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics. Chuck made his debut on the court on November 1, 1950. He played in four seasons with the Celtics before being traded to the Milwaukee Hawks for the 1954-55 season. Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton was the first African-American to sign an NBA contract as a "free agent", when he signed with New York Knicks and made his debut in November 1950 also. Clifton had played with the Harlem Globetrotters.
4. Who was the first National Football League player to win five Super Bowl rings?

Answer: Charles Haley

Haley played linebacker and defensive end in his 13-season career. He won rings from Super Bowl XXIII and XXIV with the 49ers, then three more with the Cowboys. Dallas' three were Super Bowl XXVII, XXVIII, and XXX. Haley retired in 1999. He was the only player in the 20th century to own five rings.
5. Which heavyweight boxer bit the tip of Evander Holyfield's ear off in a bout?

Answer: Mike Tyson

The bout was Holyfield-Tyson II. The first fight saw Holyfield TKO Tyson in the 11th round. Their second fight is when 'Iron Mike' had an urge for chicken. With referee Mills Lane between the ropes, he disqualified Tyson after Mike's second attempt to bite Holyfield. The fight took place in June 1997.

Answer: Hal Newhouser

Hal pitched in 17 seasons, 15 as a Tiger. He won the AL MVP Award in 1944 over teammate pitcher Dizzy Trout. Hal came back for an encore in 1945 to throw for the Triple Crown, and easily won the MVP over teammate Eddie Mayo. Newhouser retired in 1955, just one season short of the Cy Young Award presentation.

Answer: Bobby Lowe

On May 30, 1894, Lowe was a Boston Beaneater going up against the Cincinnati Reds. After having five hits along with 17 total bases, the final score was Boston 20, Cincinnati 11. Lowe's 17 season home runs was an enormous amount in early baseball, and his career high.
10. The franchise of the Green Bay Packers in the National Football League was originally named after which type of packaging company?

Answer: Meat

The team was founded in 1919, and the Indian Meat Packing Company sponsored the team. They paid for jerseys so they called themselves the Packers. The Indian Meat Packing Company was a war-time industry.
