Road Blocks of "The Amazing Race 25" Quiz

Answer: Four hours

Off the coast of U.S. Virgin Islands, landed on a beach and grabbed their first Road Block clue of the race. For this, selected team members had to use basic instructions and a liquid compass to locate a treasure chest containing their next clue. Starting at one of four landmarks they needed to measure out the location based on their yard-long shovels, and dig. Tim, Adam, Alli, Jim, Dennis, Keith, Shelley, Amy, Lisa, Scott, and Robbie were selected for this, but only eight of them completed the task. Keith, Lisa, and Scott each took a four-hour penalty to be enacted at the start of the next leg, but Lisa (and her sister Michelle) were eliminated at the first Pit Stop.

Answer: Sandwiches

Closing our the fourth leg of the race, teams had to travel to the Ida Davidsen Restaurant in Copenhagen, Denmark where one member of each team took on the role of a waiter to receive four complicated sandwich orders. If they could learn the ingredients and recite them off, from memory, to Ida Davidsen herself, they could get their next clue and race on to the Pit Stop. Kym, Maya, Brooke, Whitney, Te Jay, Adam, Misti, and Nici completed this task.

Answer: Bethany

In a leg of the race built around the bustling marketplaces of Marrakesh, Morocco, eight teams needed to visit the hard-to-find, easy-to-smell-out Bab Debbagh Tannery where one member of each duo had to prepare skins for the local leatherworkers by by scraping and removing hairs from three leather hides.

They then needed to take three bundles of prepared hides, secure them onto a bike, and ride them through the alleys to a nearby cobbler, returning with the receipt for their clue. Keith, Amy, Brooke, Bethany, Tim, Kym, Nici, and Misti were selected for this task.

Answer: Atlas Mountains

Visiting the remote adventure area of Terres D'Amanar outside of Marrakesh, Morocco, teams had to choose a member who had the 'knack for sliding things into place'. The task ended up being a bit misleading as the selected teammate had to cross mountain gorges on tightropes, obstacle courses, and ziplines before completing a unique sliding block puzzle. If they could perform all of these steps and successfully complete the puzzle they could drive to the Pit Stop. Misti, Bethany, Te Jay, Alli, Brooke, Maya, and Shelley were selected to complete this task.

Answer: Go karts

After an overnight rest in Palermo, the six competing teams had to catch cabs to Villa Costanza on Mount Pellegrino. There, one member of of each team (Kym, Jim, Maya, Adam, Te Jay, and Brooke) had to recreate the Targa Florio race around the mountain, riding in go karts along the roadways there. If they could recreate the route and cross the finish line under four minutes and seven seconds, they could take a ride in a vintage car and return to their teammate in the city proper.

Although the majority of racers completed the task in one go, Maya had to complete the course twice.

Teams had already taken the ferry from the south of Sicily and travelled to Malta by this point, holding the eighth leg in a yet-to-be-visited country for the race. For this task, one member of each team needed to rappel twenty storeys from the cliffs on the edge of the Maltese coast in Qrendi and descend into the Blue Grotto. Once they hit the water they needed to swim down to collect their next clue and then return to their partner in a waiting boat. Tim, Misti, Alli, Bethany, Amy, and Robbie completed this task.

Answer: Marina Bay Sands

Racing through the city of Singapore, the final five teams had to head to the top of the Marina Bay Sands, taking the elevator up to the 57th floor. For their Road Block, one team member needed to become a funambulist and take a tightrope walk between two towers, both 600 feet above the ground. Once they reached the far end, they'd be given a clue and need to return to their partner back across the tightrope line. Maya, Brooke, Jim, and Kym completed this high-wire task. Neither Adam nor Bethany completed this one, having claimed the Fast Forward.

Answer: Four

Robbie, Adam, Jim, and Amy were all selected for this Road Block task waiting for them outside of Divorsia Market in the Philippine capital of Manila. For this task, the selecte teammate needed to pick up and deliver different amounts of unique, local coconut items (bunot, used as wax, and walis tingting, used as brooms) to three different vendors as per a delivery sheet found at their starting point. Upon delivery, racers would receive receipts that they could trade for their next clue.

Answer: A team was eliminated

Returning to the United States in the final leg, the top four(!) teams needed to visit the Southwest Marine Warehouse in San Pedro, California for their first Road Block. In this task, the selected member had to perform an action movie stunt, jumping safely out a third-story window into a pile of boxes.

In a twist, due to there being a final four this season, the last person to complete this task was met by Phil and eliminated on the spot, sending the fourth place team to the Finish Line immediately while the others raced on.

This meant that Brooke and Robbie, while reaching the last city, didn't complete the whole course. Maya, Adam, and Jim completed this task.

Answer: A shipping yard

In the final task of the race, the final three teams headed to ConGlobal Industries in Wilmington, California. Arriving there, teams found a second Road Block which forced the teammate who didn't complete the first to participate. This meant that Amy, Bethany, and Misti needed to search through thousands of shipping containers for nine labeled with cities visited on the race.

Then, they needed to list them in chronological order and identify a colour-coded digit on that container. Once they had the corresponding nine-digit number correct, they could get their next clue and drive to the Finish Line.
