Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In Leg 11, the team participating in the Speed Bump in Manila had to do which of the following?

Answer: Unload and reload a padyak

In the beginning of Leg 11, the final four teams were told to make their way to the road and hail a jeepney to take them back into the city of Manila, the capital of The Philippines, where the rest of the leg would inevitably be held. Upon arriving at Rajah Sulayman Park, teams found their clue box but Robbie and Brooke were required to complete their Speed Bump as they placed last in the previous non-elimination leg.

Heading to the Manila Boardwalk, they had to empty a padyak and refill a second padyak with all the belongings to ready it for transport.

When this was done, they were able to return to the race course.
2. What was unique about the final Detour task of the race (as found in The Philippines in Leg 11)?

Answer: It was a 'blind' Detour

Like in Malta in Leg 8, teams located their Detour task but were surprised to find that they were not given any clues as to what they entailed. In fact, opening their clues at Rajah Sulayman Park, they were simply given a choice between 'This' and 'That' before being sent off to one of two specific locations at which they would receive another clue containing that specific task's instructions.

In this case, while both tasks were quite physical, the teams would need to evaluate their options and continue with them (or quit them) at their own risk.
3. During the final Detour task of the race in The Philippines (in Leg 11), the tasks were completed evenly by the same amount of teams.

Answer: True

Heading into the Detour blindly, Brooke and Robbie and Adam and Bethany opted to complete 'This' while Misti and Jim and Amy and Maya headed into 'That'. In 'This', the teams headed to a local side-street to play a game of basketball against locals. When the team accumulated twenty-one points they could receive their next clue from the referee.

In 'That', teams instead headed to another neighbourhood to hop into padyaks (and their coaches) for a relay around a marked course. When both team members completed two laps each in under seventeen minutes and fifty-five seconds, they could continue on.
4. Who did not complete the delivery Road Block in The Philippines in Leg 11?

Answer: Maya

Completing their Detour tasks, the teams headed to a marked jeepney in Divisoria Market, taking their directions and finding the Road Block for this leg of the race. In this task, Robbie, Adam, Jim, and Amy needed to deliver specific amounts of bunots and walis tingting to three separate locations in the market as prescribed by a purchase order waiting for them.

When they returned with all three receipts of delivery, they would be handed their next clue.
5. Which team was last to arrive at the final Pit Stop in The Philippines in Leg 11?

Answer: Amy and Maya

After the Road Block, the teams were told to proceed by taxi to their final Pit Stop of the race, the Baluarte de San Diego in Intramuros. Robbie and Brooke finally took their first victory, arriving at the Pit Stop in first place. Instead of receiving a prize, however, they were told that the race would continue from that moment. Phil handed them a manila envelope (as he did with the other teams) and their next clue. Amy and Maya, who were the last to arrive at the Pit Stop, were shockingly spared from elimination and told to keep racing, though one team would be eliminated on their way to the Finish Line in Leg 12.
6. What was the final destination city of "The Amazing Race 25" (as visited in Leg 12)?

Answer: Los Angeles

Opening their clues immediately upon arriving at the final Pit Stop in Baluarte de San Diego in Manila, teams were told to keep their manila envelopes sealed as they flew to Los Angeles, California, the final destination city of the race. For the first time, the final leg of the race would see four teams go for the Finish Line. Also for the first time, since the eighth season of the race, the final leg would not have the mandatory rest period at the final Pit Stop. Upon arriving at LAX, teams located their marked Ford Explorers and used the voice tech inside to receive their next clue.
7. Before heading to their first Road Block in Leg 12, teams had to open their manila envelopes and get which of the following approved?

Answer: Film permit

Hopping into their vehicles, teams were required to navigate the confusing highways of Los Angeles to reach Downtown City Hall whereupon they would be able to park out front and deliver their manila envelopes to the film clerk inside who would stamp its approval and send them off with their next clue.

This would require them to drive to the Southwest Marine Warehouse in San Pedro where their papers would need to be handed off to the assistant director in charge of the stunt they would yet have to perform.
8. Which team was eliminated midway through the final leg of the race?

Answer: Robbie and Brooke

Arriving at the Southwest Marine Warehouse, the teams were given a Road Block clue envelope, and one member of each needed to gear up and practice a stunt which would send them crashing through a third story window to the ground below. Maya, Adam, and Jim ended up completing this task before opening the next clue sending them on foot to the United States Coast Guard Base on Terminal Island. Robbie and Brooke, who were last to make it to the Road Block, quite behind all the other teams, were met by Phil who informed them that they were too late to complete the task and were, thus, eliminated from the race.
9. The final Road Block of the race took place in which setting?

Answer: Freight yard

Arriving at the United States Coast Guard Base, the final three teams needed to head out onto the water to complete a training rescue exercise and collect their next clue. This would send them by taxi to ConGlobal Industries in Wilmington for their last task, a second Road Block only completable by the team mates who did not perform the movie stunt.

As such, Misti, Bethany, and Amy needed to search on foot throughout the shipping yards for nine different containers, all featuring major cities visited on the race and all featuring numbers which, when placed in chronological order as per when they were visited, would result in them being awarded their final clue.
10. Which team won "The Amazing Race 25"?

Answer: Amy and Maya

Receiving their final clue, teams were told to rush onward by taxi to the race's Finish Line at the Point Vincente Light in Rancho Palos Verdes. Amy, having finished the final Road Block on her first attempt (and a half hour before the other teams), was able to get the last clue and send herself and Maya to the Finish Line first. Without winning any previous leg of the race, they succeeded where it mattered and won "The Amazing Race 25" and the $1,000,000 prize.

They were followed by Jim and Misti in second and Adam and Bethany in third place.
