Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When Sharon told Randy he could only do one more thing on the internet before bed, what did Randy opt for?

Answer: watching porn

Though Randy had told his wife that he needed to do all the other things, when she told him there was only time for one thing before bedtime, Randy decided to use that precious internet time to watch porn!
2. When the Broflovskis realized their internet was down as well, where did Stan suggest going for internet?

Answer: Starbucks

The Marsh family had gone to the Broflovski house hoping to use their internet, only to find that their internet wasn't working either. Stan suggested going to Starbucks, since they had "free internet." The two families thought that was a great idea and all piled into Gerald's car.
3. Where did the townsfolk turn to get the news once they'd determined there was no internet anywhere?

Answer: television

They were a little lost at first, asking, "What did we used to do to get the news before the internet?" Then Randy thought to check the television, and all the townsfolk broke through the storefront of a TV dealership to see what they could learn. Unfortunately, the news anchors were only saying that they couldn't report the news because they had no internet!
4. How long did the Marsh family endure a lack of internet before Randy determined to move his family to California?

Answer: 8 days

After 8 days, Randy was huddled on the couch fighting a cold, wishing he could log onto Web MD to see why he was sick. When it was clear that Shelley was also going over the edge, Randy determined it was time to move his family in the hopes of finding internet somewhere.
5. What classic story did the Marsh family journey to California parallel?

Answer: The Grapes of Wrath

Just like the Joads in search of work, Randy loaded up his family and "headed out Californee way" to find "some internet." Along the way, the Marsh family encountered other transients seeking internet, and when they got to California, they were forced to live in a large camp with all the other internet-seekers.
6. At the Internet Refugee Camp entry point, what company did Randy name as his internet provider?

Answer: NetZero

Randy tried to ask if the camp had internet, but the impersonal staffer was only concerned with checking people in. Randy gave his information and allowed himself to be ushered to his campsite.
7. Where was the internet?

Answer: in a desert

The news finally received a fax informing them, "The government has sent their best people to the internet in order to repair it." Sure enough, a fleet of military helicopters landed in the desert, unloading a number of government officials who informed the scientists on site, "The President is very angry that his internet still isn't working."
8. Randy was trying to convince one of the staffers at the Internet Refugee Camp that he needed "private internet time," citing a need for video involving what?

Answer: vomit

Randy pleaded with the man, saying, "Once you [masturbate] to Japanese girls puking in each other's mouths, you can't exactly go back to 'Playboy'!" The staffer had no sympathy for Randy and told him to "get lost." However, Randy wasn't the only man at the camp with his particular problem, and somebody had already found a way to make money off of it!
9. Who fixed the internet?

Answer: Kyle

Kyle saw the blinking orange light and realized that they should just unplug the internet and plug it back in. He was brought to the internet and did just that, fixing the internet for everyone!
10. Did Shelley and Amir hit it off in person?

Answer: no

They had an awkward meeting and determined to email one another once they got back home. Shelley seemed thrilled to keep her romance confined the cyberspace.
