Subject: Track listings on albums

I'll give you the first track, you guys complete the entire album. We'll start with side one, track one of Physical Graffitti by Led Zeppelin. No looking up info on the Net! You have to know the album well. Of course, I can't police this, but I'm sure you'll do the right thing. First track is Custard Pie.

David Gilmour is a prime example of a band being able to live on without one of its original members.
I'm so glad you got to see that, sectant!

Thanks, it was an experience, I can assure you.
Your track should be Number 9 Jen. So, three to go for this first album.

10) The Authority Song by Johnny Cougar. Or John Mellencamp. He keeps changing his name!

11) You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC

The album needs to end on a really good one!
And personally, I liked the title idea "Music to Annoy Neighbors With" although anything would work.

Ideally it would be the 22 minute version of Whipping Post from The Allman Brothers Band live album At Fillmore East but it's too long. How about we each pick one and pretend it's one of those vinyl albums with two grooves, so depending on where the needle lands, any of the final tracks could get played?

12) (My) Woman From Tokyo by Deep Purple

I've just looked at the complete list and I'm confused. How many songs are there? I've counted and still can't work it out. If there's more than 12 we'll call them Bonus Tracks. If there's less, we'll get a refund from the music store and write to the label complaining about being shortchanged. Thread Records I believe it's called.

This is what I believe we ended up with:

1)Sabbath Bloody Sabbath by Black Sabbath
2) Alive by Pearl Jam
3) When The Levee Breaks by Led Zeppelin
4) Learning to Fly by Pink Floyd
5)Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits
6) Jeremy by Pearl Jam
7) Comfortably Numb Pink Floyd
8) Heaven And Hell by Black Sabbath
9) Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd
10) The Authority Song by Johnny Cougar.
11) You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC
12) (My) Woman From Tokyo by Deep Purple

Bonus Tracks (?)
I Heard It Through The Grapevine by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Caroline by Status Quo
Barracuda by Heart
(Don’t Fear) The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult
Whipping Post by The Allman Brothers Band (Live At Fillmore East)

Notes: #5 got changed, then #7 got changed, but then it didn’t get changed. #8 was really #9. So I see why that got confusing! With the length of some of the songs, there might be multiple records we need!
*If that’s the case, you could put Whipping Post there and make Deep Purple a bonus track*
Thread Records gets a break because we are officially at 12! We could always take the ones we didn’t use and make those bonus tracks.

Working titles:
Twelve Of The Best, As Seen On Funtrivia
Music To Annoy The Neighbours With
Rock, Rock, 'Til You Drop

Well deduced Jen.
Which one is your number 12?
Barracuda or Reaper?
I like this game.
Whipping Post could be split over eight sides of a 78 rpm
If we move Creedence a bit to the left and take away all of Whipping Post, we could possibly fit in one more Bonus Track.
Who's compiling the Liner Notes?
Better not let me compile them, who knows what I'll end up writing??

Let's do a Singer Songwriter album now. You pick the first track

Oh, Barracuda and Reaper were just bonus tracks... put in because they're awesome (and so we could fill another album side!).

Alright! Singer Songwriter album:

1) One of These Nights by The Eagles

Not sure if that counts Jen. Was thinking along the lines of solo Singer Songwriters.

(I almost picked Carly myself instead of James Taylor. Was going to pick something from the No Secrets album like you did, but went for Fire and Rain instead.)

Rosie by Jackson Browne

Broadway Hotel by Al Stewart

(Can we make this a 13 track album? I have the perfect way to end it.)
