Are you sure that's the only hit they've had in the U.K.? They've had a gazillion here, Pleasure and Pain, Boys In Town etc. Reply #210. Sep 11 18, 9:06 AM |

6) In The Year 2525 by Sager & Evans Hard to say... how does one determine a "one-hit wonder" when we're all from different countries? Some are so widespread that it's easy to label them, whereas others... so easy to say that in our own area, some band for sure only had one hit. It's an interesting thought, what counts and what doesn't. Reply #211. Sep 11 18, 10:36 AM |

Yea i'm sure, it got to number 10 and was their only hit. Also around half a dozen or more of the artists that have been posted in this topic have had more than one hit in the UK. 7) Fire - The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown Reply #212. Sep 11 18, 2:10 PM |

The girl in that song is my second favourite mystery chick, my favourite being the mystery chick in Year Of The Cat by Al Stewart. But the question is...does the girl in The Cowsills song really exist or, because it's a 60's flower power hippie song, is the singer a bit, shall we say, under the influence of certain substances and therefore imagining her? I don't really know, I wasn't there. And neither was the girl probably. 10) San Francisco (Flowers In Your Hair) by Scott McKenzie. Reply #216. Sep 12 18, 12:38 PM |

Do we want to do another one-hit wonders album (#6) or something else? My sister has a fun theory about The Cowsills' song! Reply #219. Sep 13 18, 9:33 AM |
