My favorite actor is Sidney Poitier. I have read his biography "Measure of a Man," which tells of his family's arrival in Florida and how he tried to obtain acting roles, but was told that he needed to learn how to speak first. Poitier is probably best remembered for portraying Mark Thackerary in "To Sir, With Love." Everytime this movie is on I watch it. Sidney is mesmerizing as Thackerary and how he teaches his students, even though they make his life hell on wheels, and how he finally wins their approval and friendship. It also shows how he teaches them to love their selves and to respect each other and how anything and everything in life can be yours if you try and want it bad enough.

I really love to watch Jason Isaacs. He is just the epitome of the perfect actor for me (was that redundant?). He combines theatrical training with his striking looks, especially his eyes, and his incredible acting prowess, and he can pull off being both bad guy and good guy (not to mention he can pull off long hair!). Mine has to be Viggo Mortensen as my number one actor, he is brillant, i really think he can act amd i know from watching LOTR specail features he gives as much as he possibly can and works really hard. My favorite actor is Vin Diesel. And he's not just my favorite beacuase he's so hott, but he gives everything when he's filming a movie, it's hard to find an actor like that. You can tell that he doesn't do it for the money, he says he likes to go and watch other people who are watching one of his movies just to see their reactions and expressions toward the films. Besides the fact Johnny Depp is gorgeous, he is an unbelievable actor. Some of my favorite performances are Edward Scissorhands, Captain Jack Sparrow (POTC), Agent Sands (Once Upon a Time in Mexico), Mort Rainey (Secret Window), Sam (Benny & Joon), and Gilbert (What's Eating Gilbert Grape?).
