My favorite actor is Sidney Poitier. I have read his biography "Measure of a Man," which tells of his family's arrival in Florida and how he tried to obtain acting roles, but was told that he needed to learn how to speak first. Poitier is probably best remembered for portraying Mark Thackerary in "To Sir, With Love." Everytime this movie is on I watch it. Sidney is mesmerizing as Thackerary and how he teaches his students, even though they make his life hell on wheels, and how he finally wins their approval and friendship. It also shows how he teaches them to love their selves and to respect each other and how anything and everything in life can be yours if you try and want it bad enough.

I recently watched on HBO on Demand "Regarding Henry" with Harrison Ford. Every time I see that film, I realise what a talented actor Ford truly is. My favourite actress is Julia Roberts. I love her movies athey are all good movies. She also uses a quote that I use as well I believe that two people are connected at the heart, and it doesn't matter what you do, or who you are or where you live; there are no boundaries or barriers if two people are destined to be together. I don't have a favorite actor really, but if I had to choose it would be Owen and Luke Wilson. They are so funny and they are pretty down to earth. My favorite actresses are Scarlett Johannssen, Jessica Alba, and Katherine Heigl. They all seem so nice. And they are the ones that you never seen getting drunk or anything. Humphrey Bogart - just an ordinary bloke with an extraordinary talent.He could portray the ' ordinary Joe' with passion - not like many of today's plastic,impossible characters.Without CGI and FX,not many of todays actors bring a 'presence' to the screen.One major exception to that - Robert De Nero.A true genius!
