Interesting Questions, Facts, and Information

    From Far Away

There are several members of Izark and Noriko's group. Just how many people are there, counting Izark and Noriko before they reach the country of Guzena?"From Far Away" and "A Time Unknown"

      10. The members of their party are as follows: Izark, Noriko, Agol, Agol's daughter Geena, Gaya, Barago, Duke Jeida, Duke Jeida's two sons, and Banadam. If you count it up, there are ten of them.

What is Agol and his daughter Geena's homeland called?"From Far Away" and "A Time Unknown"

Reinka. It is Reinka. This is revealed early on when the two are first introduced. Zagu and Guzena are both countries in "From Far Away". Irktule, however, is the name of the spirit of the Morning Mist Tree.

There are quite a few seers in "From Far Away". Geena Haas, the youngest of the seers, uses a stone. What color is her stone? "From Far Away" and "A Time Unknown"

Blue. She has a blue stone. The color of the stone is only revealed a few times, in Agol's thoughts. The others are just colors, as I am sure you all know.

What is the family who takes in the sky demon supposed to have happen to them?"From Far Away" and "A Time Unknown"

They prosper.. The family that takes in the sky demon is supposed to prosper, and indeed, Izark's family does do well financially. His mother, or rather foster mother, does go mad and Izark's foster father basically ignores him. When Izark decides to leave after he learns the truth about himself, the house he grew up in and all of his foster family is killed in a fire. Of course, he doesn't learn this until he goes back, around a week after he leaves.

"From Far Away" is drawn in an interesting style. The buildings and the clothes are all quite different from normal manga, even if it is set in another world. What culture is the architecture and clothing based on?"From Far Away" and "A Time Unknown"

There is no particular culture. Actually, it is revealed in one of the side bars that "From Far Away" does not really draw its elements from any one culture. In fact, most of it comes from the creator's mind. Personally, I thought that it was kind of based on Middle Eastern and Medieval France.

There are two families in Izark and Noriko's group. How many sons does Duke Jeida have?"From Far Away" and "A Time Unknown"

Two. He has two, Rontarna who is 22 and Koriki who is 19. I actually thought for a long time that he had three sons and that Banadam was the third. But Banadam is just Rontarna and Koriki's friend. Banadam is also 19, like Koriki.

What is so special about Izark and Noriko?"From Far Away" and "A Time Unknown"

All of these statements are correct. (They are the sky demon and the awakening., They can communicate with their minds, ie telepathy., They are supposed to change the world.). The answer is all of them. Izark is the sky demon and Noriko is the awakening. Because they are those two things, they are supposed to change the world. And, for some odd reason, the two can speak to each other telepathically. Noriko seems to use this ability more than Izark though.

Who imprisons Duke Jeida, his two sons, Banadam, and Izark? This person was also Barago's lord."From Far Away" and "A Time Unknown"

Lord Nada. Lord Nada is the right answer. Lord Nada was a man who loved to watch others fight and get killed. When Izark is rude to him, Lord Nada sets him in a match against 17 men. Izark, however, turns the tides of the battle when he and Barago, not to mention Agol who broke into the palace on Noriko's request, defeat but not kill every single one of the men.

What is Noriko's native language?"From Far Away" and "A Time Unknown"

Japanese. Her native language is Japanese. Though it may be in English, "From Far Away" was orginally printed in Japanese. The other two are just two other Asian languages.

Who confesses his love to Noriko first? From Far Away

Banadam. Even though everyone knows that Izark loves Noriko, he doesn't tell her until volume 7. Barago doesn't have any special feelings like love for Noriko, and Chiaki is the main male character in "Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne."

Who comes back to fight Izark in volume 8?From Far Away

Kemos Lee Goda. Kemos and Izark first fought each other in volume 2 when Izark won. However, Lord Rachef from Rienka helps him get stronger and develop the same fangs and eyes that Izark has. Lord Nada is too much of a coward to fight his own battles. Barago would never fight against Izark again and the Demon Knight is a villan from "Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne".

How many seers do we actually meet in "From Far Away"?From Far Away

      4. There are many seers in this series but we only meet four of them. The seers we meet are Geena, Zena, Tazasheena, and Gorya.

Who are the two women that Izark and Noriko end up traveling with in volume 10?From Far Away

Grand Duke Jeida's wife and daughter. I have no clue if there are any decendents of Noriko in Izark's world. I also don't know if Banadam has any sisters. Shita and Dola are from Miyazaki's "Castle in the Sky". With Duke Jeida's wife and daughter is Alef.

What is the name of the festival that was going on at the beginning of volume 8? From Far Away

flower festival. Izark was the substitute for the flower festival. The festival honors women and has a game just for women. When Noriko was playing the game, the sheet ripped and poor Noriko thought it was her fault.

Who is the spirit of the Morning Mist Tree? From Far Away

Irktule. Irktule (Irk) first contacted Noriko in volume 4. He asked her to help them. Noriko helped Irk free the souls of the villagers and Irk helped Noriko and the gang get out of the White Mist Forest. He helped Noriko again in volume 9 by getting her to Izark.

What are the little animals that teleport people? From Far Away

chimos. Doros breeds chimos and loves them as if they were his own children. When Lord Rachef started killing the chimos, poor Doros started crying. With the last two chimos he helped get Noriko to Izark.

Where did Izark and Noriko meet? From Far Away

the Sea of Trees. Seers said that the Awakening was supposed to appear on the Golden Nest in the Sea of Trees. Izark wanted to be the first person there so he could kill the Awakening. However, he couldn't kill her which is why they are traveling together.

How many times have Izark and Noriko kissed? (Not just on the lips.) (In volumes 1 - 10)From Far Away

      5. The first time was when Noriko kissed Izark on the lips in volume 5. The second time was when Izark kissed Noriko on the lips in volume 7. The third time was when Izark kissed Noriko on the forehead after she woke up in volume 8. The fourth time was when Izark kissed Noriko on the cheek after she had a nightmare in volume 9. The fifth time was in volume 10 when Izark kissed her on the lips after he lifted a 400 yuron cow.

Who did Tazasheena remind Lord Rachef of?From Far Away

his mother. In volume 10, Tazasheena left the Seers' Palace and Lord Rachef was glad. He said that she reminded him too much of his mother. When he was little Lord Rachef got mad at his mother for blaming him for everything so he pushed her down some stairs and killed her. No one saw, so everyone thought it was an accident and tried to protect Rachef.
