Zai Jian. 'Zai Jian' and 'xie xie', I hope you enjoyed the quiz!

xin nian kuai le. The most important Chinese holiday is New Year's. Chinese New Year is celebrated in the end of January and the beginning of Febuary instead of January 1.
Merry Christmas. The Chinese didn't origanally have Christmas. It has been picked up as a tradition in many families now though.

Wo ai ni. 'Wo hen ni' means I hate you . 'Wo xia le ta' means I scared him (or her). And 'Wo pa ta' means I am scared of him (or her).
those of another generation. 'Nin hao' is the more polite and respectable way to talk. That is why when kids talk to teachers, that have to say 'nin hao'. 'Ni hao' is just to other classmates etc. and informal times.
Australia. Just for your information, the mandarin word for Japan is 'Ri ben'. The Japanese term 'Nippon' is a transliteration of this.
