Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What does Senna's name mean?

Answer: Pathway

Senna was "Senda" originally, and it meant "pathway." When she was only seven year old, her mother, Anica, left her for reasons she could not explain. Anica brought Senna to her father, Tom O'Brien, and told him that he was responsible for raising her. Tom asked what her name was, and accidentally called her "Senna."
2. What did Senna notice about her mother?

Answer: She glowed

At a young age, Senna noticed that her mother glowed. She realized that no one else could see what she saw. Senna also realized that her own skin glowed as well. She felt a special connection to her mother, and when she was left to be raised by her father, she was even more crushed.
3. What did Senna do to punish Jalil?

Answer: She possessed a bum and taunted him

Previously, Jalil had knocked Senna unconscious and had used her to save the others. Senna was almost uncontrollably mad at him. So when everyone slept, she crossed back into the real world and possessed a man. She had him stand outside of Jalil's house, screaming about his hands never being clean. Senna knew that it would affect him in a horrible way.
4. How did David and the others destroy the dam the dwarfs created?

Answer: They burned it down

David made a plan for the kids to demolish the dam. Sobek, a minor Egyptian crocodile god, asked them to help the dam get taken down so he could return to his own land. The dwarfs had built it to take the gold deposits that flew through the river. When David gathered twigs and set Sobek's boat on fire, it hit the dam and set it ablaze.

The river rushed through, providing hundreds with the water that they had been missing. Senna and the others arrived in Egypt as heroes.
5. Who controlled the Everworld version of Egypt?

Answer: The Amazonians

Isis and the other Egyptian gods had grown so old that they lingered near death, simply sitting as statues. Because no gods ruled the land, the Amazon women moved in and decided to take Egypt for themselves, lead by their master, Pretty Little Flower. She sang for her followers, who were great warriors.
6. Which woman was not mentioned in the story?

Answer: Janis Joplin

Anica taught Pretty Little Flower many "real-world" songs. Throughout the years, the queen of the Amazonians grew to learn many songs. When Senna and the others met Pretty Little Flower, she was singing "Respect" by Aretha Franklin. The queen called her Goddess Aretha.

She also sang "Material Girl" by Madonna. Bonnie Raitt, Carole King, Joni Mitchell and Judy Garland were also mentioned.
7. What was Senna's mother's relationship to Pretty Little Flower?

Answer: She was her bodyguard

When Senna's mother left the real world for Everworld, she met up with Pretty Little Flower and became a sort of bodyguard. The leader of the Amazons realized that Anica had special powers and appointed her a consort. Like Senna, Anica had the ability to change her appearance.
8. Who did April claim as her own?

Answer: Jalil

Pretty Little Flower originally noticed David and asked April if he was "hers." When April said no, Senna quickly stepped in and claimed David as her own. Later, Pretty Little Flower asked if Christopher was anyone's, and April once again said no. She then grabbed a surprised Jalil and said he belonged to her.
9. What weapon were the kids surprised to see Pretty Little Flower possess?

Answer: A Coo-Hatch throwing disc

Pretty Little Flower compared her sword to David's and let another weapon be seen- a Coo-Hatch throwing disc. Coo-Hatch steel was incredibly powerful, and the kids were surprised she possessed the weapon. It worked much like a Coo-Hatch boomerang did.
10. At the end of the story, Egypt was ruled by whom?

Answer: Sobek

Senna managed to convince Sobek to gather all of his crocodile children to reclaim Egypt. Since all of the old gods were almost nonexistent, Sobek attacked the Amazonians, killed Pretty Little Flower, and took control of Egypt. The kids managed to take some of the gods' treasure with them before they left.
