Answer: Todd Helton

None of the others played in 2003, and retired more than 30 years ago. Helton with the Rockies, continued to tear up National League pitchers. In 2002, he hit 30 home runs with 39 doubles. 2003 is Helton's 7th season in the Majors.
2. What player on July 20, 2003, hit his 400th career home run?

Answer: Jeff Bagwell

Jeff broke the 400 barrier in his 13th season in the Majors. All 13 of his seasons were with the Astros of Houston. Number 400 was Bagwell's 20 home run of the 2003 season, in a 6-3 win over the Reds.

James 'Catfish' Hunter began his career with the Athletics of Kansas City in 1965. He won the Cy Young in 1974 in Oakland. After the 1974 season, Catfish and owner Charles Finley went at it with a dispute for more money. Finley let Hunter go, and to the pinstripes he went. He then played 5 seasons with the Yankees, and retired in 1979.
