Nick, for Contract 124, if a country has more than one level of regional subdivision--such as provinces/states and counties--would the capitals of each be acceptable for the crossword puzzle? Reply #322. Oct 21 19, 6:14 AM |

Hi, kids! :) I would like to claim Contract #124 with my crossword puzzle "US Regional Capitals" For the next Contract, I propose "Create a crossword puzzle with either at least 15 cities from one nation or one city each from 15 different nations. In either case, all of the 15 cities should have been founded 1019 CE or earlier." Reply #323. Oct 25 19, 7:39 PM |

"Nick, for Contract 124, if a country has more than one level of regional subdivision--such as provinces/states and counties--would the capitals of each be acceptable for the crossword puzzle? I had not thought of two tiers of regional government. The lower tier 'capitals' would need to be well known enough for the average user to be able to determine them without research" Reply #324. For my previous post, here's the commission: Contract #124 - 1 point: Either construct a symmetrical crossword about a) Regional capitals of one particular country OR provincial regions of different countries of the world (each country can only be represented once). (by 1nn1) Here's the link for the my crossword for the contract: https://www.funtrivia.com/crossword/play.cfm?gid=6799 As to whether whether all of the state capitals/county seats are well known, well, no, but for the less known ones I spell out pretty clearly what I'm looking for with those answers (no "clever" clues). "No as you never see "Whole Nine Yds" also the clue would need an "(Abbr.)" annotation in addition. Srry 'bout that." Where did the 'Yds' come into it? I was assuming he meant 'yards'. Reply #328. Oct 26 19, 8:58 PM |

I would like to claim Quiz Contract 111 Contract #111 - 15 points: Compose a Photo quiz in the Sci/Tech subcategory, Stars. The quiz must be about one or more individual stars and not on the constellations. (by RedHook13) for my quiz "Betelgeuse! Betelgeuse! Betelgeuse!" https://www.funtrivia.com/trivia-quiz/SciTech/Betelgeuse-Betelgeuse-Betelgeuse-399157.html For the next quiz, I propose: Create a quiz or crossword puzzle about the planet Pluto and its satellites. (Yeah, I said planet, not dwarf planet. The International Astronomical Union can get over it. :) ) Reply #331. Nov 14 19, 1:09 PM |
