I wish to claim Contract #309 - 10 points: Write a large Religion crossword with at least 6 clues being 10 letters or longer, and at least 4 words relating to religious festivals (words can fit either or both criteria). No 2 letter words or IATA codes please. (by Windrush) Let's Celebrate (1) is online at https://www.funtrivia.com/crossword/play.cfm?gid=10011 Anyone wondering why the (1) designation is in the title: it's because this author did not read the contract properly and initially created a medium solution. That puzzle will be submitted as (2) at a later date. New Contract: Create a symmetric medium or large crossword puzzle in which at least 60% of the clues or answers relate to loanwords commonly used in English. A minimum of six loanwords must be of Hungarian origin. No two-letter answers or IATA codes, please. Reply #768. Apr 11 23, 5:16 PM |

May I claim Contract 319 - Contract #319 - 3 points: Create a symmetric medium or large crossword puzzle in which at least 60% of the clues or answers relate to loanwords commonly used in English. A minimum of six loanwords must be of Hungarian origin. No two-letter answers or IATA codes, please. (by Psnz) My offering - May I Borrow this Word? psnz has graciously said it fits his criteria. https://www.funtrivia.com/crossword/play.cfm?gid=10035 I enjoyed compiling this - and as I have to rush out and the Muse has failed me yet again, could we have a similar crossword with all the criteria above, except that we need at least 6 words with Italian origins. Incidentally, Kyle, there are two contracts numbered 319. Reply #772. Apr 24 23, 7:54 PM |

I have a question about Challenge #313. Is it possible to both choose an author's challenge title AND then have the quiz get an Old is New topic. As far as I can tell once you make a choice to pick either of those two, Quizzyland quickly guides you down a path away from the other. (At least as far as I can tell--I haven't actually chosen either yet because I think these are both choices that you can't undo once you've made them.) Reply #773. Apr 25 23, 12:05 PM |

I wish to claim Contract #321 - 2 points: Create a symmetrical crossword relating to important landmarks in Europe. These can be natural formations or man-made. (by Windrush) My puzzle "European Landmarks" meets these requirements: https://www.funtrivia.com/crossword/play.cfm?gid=10036 New Contract Construct a large symmetric crossword containing at least one word with consecutive double letters for 20 different letters (or more) of the English alphabet. The crossword title must include "double" or a variant of the word, such as "doubling." Please, no two-letter words, Roman numerals or IATA codes. Examples of words with consecutive doubled letters would be: baa, ebbs and occur. While they may exist, my researches have so far been unable to identify any English words containing a double-q or a double-x. Reply #774. Apr 27 23, 11:21 PM |

I would suggest taking the title from the Author Challenge list to give it that designation (ie. lock it in). If a quiz goes online in an Old is New subcategory it will remove that subcategory from the OiN list since it tracks the section by date. I would have to presume that's the only way this can count. Lpez, can you clarify on the Entertainment contract you posted if the answers that have to be all vowels are the categories, themselves or the words that go into the categories that are the answers? Thank you. Reply #776. Apr 29 23, 1:56 PM |

Sorry for the delay, Ilona_Ritter! I think I meant the words that go into the categories, so what you would write in the "Correct Answer" field. Hope this helps and apologies for any confusion! Reply #777. May 03 23, 3:41 PM |

I'd like to claim Contract #311 - 14 points: Write a quiz or crossword puzzle that is inspired by the work of another author on FunTrivia.
