      Ted Kord. Ted Kord was the second person to become the Blue Beetle. An inventor, he relied on his mechanical expertise to help him fight crime. He was a member of the Justice League, often pairing up with Booster Gold.

    When did Dan Garrett first appear?Blue Beetles

      1939. Dan Garrett was the first Blue Beetle, his adventures having been published by the now-defunct Fox Feature Syndicate. Garrett was a rookie police officer who used a strength-enhancing pill to fight crime along with equipment from his lab.

    When Charlton Comics began publishing the Beetle's adventures, what was Garrett's occupation?Blue Beetles

      Archeologist. Ted Kord, the second Beetle, as one of Garrett's students who carried on the hero's legacy when Garrett passed away. Garrett didn't use equipment this time, but was instead the lucky bloke who found a mystical scarab that granted him powers!

      Kord Industries. Ted left the family business in order to be a superhero, leading to his company being obtained by Wayne Enterprises. Due to this, Kord was often poor, all too willing to spend his money on get-rich-quick schemes that didn't pan out.

      He was shot. Maxwell Lord had begun a new Checkmate group, and when Kord refused to join, Lord shot him in the head. Lord was later killed by Wonder Woman, who snapped his neck.

    Where does Jaime Reyes live?Blue Beetles

      El Paso, Texas. Jaime lives with his family in El Paso. A teenager, he discovered the scarab that granted Garrett his powers, but which Kord was never able to use. When Reyes tried to give Booster Gold the scarab, he found that it had fused itself onto his spine.

    What is unique about Reyes' beetle-armor?Blue Beetles

      It could see the Brother Eye Satellite. For this reason, Booster Gold recuitied Reyes to be on Batman's assault team. Thanks to Reyes, the team was able to see the satellite and sabotage it, sending it crashing down to Earth. Luckily, Reyes teleported off the satellite before it was destroyed.

    With which local group does Reyes associate?Blue Beetles

      The Posse. The Posse are a bunch of magically-embued powered teenagers from the El Paso area that Jaime Reyes occasionally teams up with. Reyes has also met the Peacemaker and the Phantom Stranger.

    What religion does Reyes' family practice?Blue Beetles

      Catholicism. A crucifix can be seen in many rooms of the Reyes household, confirming that the Mexican-American family does practice Catholicism.

    What phrase did Garrett yell to activate the scarab's powers?Blue Beetles

      Kaji Dha. People have used "Cei-U" or "say you" to activate the Thunderbolt, but Garrett said "Kaji Dha!" Curiously, Reyes never had to say this, because he bonded completely with the scarab, where Garrett only half-accomplished that goal.
