Answer: Eddie Gaedel

This is a statistic that will not change in baseball history. The tallest person listed is Yogi at 5'8", and with Rizzuto at 5'6", and Albie at 5'5", they tower over Eddie Gaedel who was 3'7". He appeared in only one Major League game in 1951 as a St.Louis Brown.

It was a fiasco, as he was put in the game to draw a walk. It was his only appearance in baseball. Btw, he did draw the walk.
2. Who led the 2002 San Francisco Giants in home runs in the season?

Answer: Barry Bonds

Barry hit another 46 home runs to his running career mark of 613. This was Barry's 8th consecutive season of leading the Giants in home runs. In 1994, Matt Williams led the team with 43 big ones.
3. Who was the first player to draw 200 walks in a season?

Answer: Barry Bonds

Barry Bonds set a record for most walks in a season in 2002, by drawing 198 base on balls. This was 22 more than the previous season record, that he set in the previous season 2001, with 177. The Babe drew an outrageous 170 in 1923, a record which stood for 78 years.
Bonds became the first to break through the 200 barrier in the 2004 season, with 232 walks.

Jeff is, or was the man in Houston. In 10 of his first seasons with Houston, he continued to smack more than 20 home runs in a season, including 31 in the 2002 season. His MVP season of 1994, he batted a fantastic .368.

They were indeed known as the Mariners. The franchise began in 1977. They were managed by Darrell Johnson, where he led the team to a 6th place finish in the American League Western Division. It would 24 seasons before they saw the American League Championship Series in 2000, where they lost to the Yankees 4 games to 2.
6. Clarence Arthur Vance had the nickname of what?

Answer: Dazzy

Clarence Arthur 'Dazzy' Vance played 16 seasons of baseball, mostly with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He began his career in 1915 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, then the Yankees in the same season. In 1924 with the Dodgers, he won the National League MVP and the pitching Triple Crown Award. He also was the leader in ERA for many seasons.

Answer: It did not happen

The franchise did not exist until 1962. They did not even come to the grips of a National League Championship in the 20th century. The closest that they came was 6 Division Championships, only to be defeated in the following round.

Answer: Bobby Richardson

Although the Yankees outscored the Pirates 55-27 in the Series, the Pirates were victorious in the 7 games Series. Richardson was instrumental in the Series. Bobby retired in 1966 after 12 seasons. All others listed were Pirates.
9. Who was the first New York Yankee to win a season MVP Award?

Answer: Babe Ruth

The Babe was the first in 1923 to win it. The Award began in 1911 with Ty Cobb being the initial winner. Ruth, in his 4th season with the Yankees hit 41 home runs, along with 205 hits. In 1921, when the Babe smacked 59 home runs, there was no MVP Award given. The 2nd Yankee to win the award was Lou Gehrig in 1927.
10. The great Joe DiMaggio played in only 13 seasons of baseball with the Yankees. With what team did he retire with?

Answer: Yankees

Joe played his entire career with the pinstripes from 1936-1951, missing the '43, '44, and '45 season to war obligations. In his only 13 season career, he still hit 361 home runs!
