Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. During Hurley's dream sequence he sees and hears Jin, who's speaking perfect English. But, who is the man in the chicken suit?

Answer: the person who sold Hurley the winning lottery ticket

In the dream we see Hurley helping himself, in excess, to the food items in the pantry. Then, Jin appears speaking perfect American English. Hurley remarks he did not know Jin could speak English, and Jin replies he wasn't. He said Hurley was speaking Korean. He also told Hurley that "everything's going to change" and "to have a happy cluckity cluck day".
2. Sawyer traditionally gives his fellow islanders nicknames. Which two were ones he gave to Ana Lucia?

Answer: Rambina and Hot Lips

While her knee jerk reaction to Sawyer was to beat him up, that was not one of her nicknames. Rambina definitely fit, because she was merciless and fierce when dealing with him. He finally starts to win her over with this line: "You hit me again, and I'll kill ya." She smiled after he said this.
3. As Hurley realized that he'd won the lottery, we hear the newscaster announce it had been how many weeks since the last win?

Answer: 16

She said if anyone won it would be a "near record jackpot", as sixteen weeks had passed since there had been a winner. Sixteen was just one instance of the "cursed" numbers being relevant somewhere besides the resetting what I affectionately call the "idiot" timer.
4. According to Charlie, how much money was he worth in the real world?

Answer: $900 trillion

Charlie went to Hurley for answers about what was inside the hatch. Hurley was not supposed to tell anyone, so he hedged around and avoided directly lying to Charlie. Charlie got very irritated at Hurley for lying to him, and accused the "$150 million" lottery story of being a lie too. Hurley said he was worth $156 million, and Charlie angrily said that he himself was worth $900 trillion, Aaron was made of chocolate lollipops and he was going to flap his wings and fly off the island.
5. After Claire finds the message bottle washed ashore, she takes it to Sun. Who accompanies her to find Sun and deliver the message bottle?

Answer: All of these

Sun was working on the garden when they all found her. Claire explained how she found the bottle and said that she and Shannon thought Sun should decide what to do about it. We see Sun burying it in the sand at the end of the episode.
6. Randy, Hurley's Mr. Cluck superior, is also the man above Locke at the box company.

Answer: True

Randy called Hurley into his office to inform him that Hurley owed the company for an eight piece dark meat combo meal. Hurley had been captured on video helping himself to chicken. Hurley quits the job, which leads to Johnny quitting. Later that evening the duo steal a bunch of lawn gnomes. They take them all over to Randy's house and arrange them to spell out "Cluck You".
DJ Qualls of "The New Guy" and "The Core" played Johnny, and Billy Ray Gallion played Randy.
7. Who told Charlie about what the hatch contained?

Answer: Locke

Charlie did not get anything out of Hurley, so he followed Locke around hoping to make his way to the hatch. Locke knew that he was being followed, so he lead Charlie in a circle. Finally, he called Charlie out and let Charlie rant on about being kept in the dark. After Charlie finished, he told him the story behind the hatch and about all of its contents.
8. According to Sayid, what is the power source for the hatch chamber?

Answer: geothermal generator

Sayid and Jack spent quite a bit of time exploring the areas of the hatch. While in a crawl space they discused different aspects. Sayid said that the thick concrete reminded him of Chernobyl. I am assuming he meant after the accident. That would lead us to believe either a nuclear reactor was present, fed by the geothermal power source, or that it once was present. Sayid told Jack he believed that the geothermal power source was a generator.
9. What was the name of the girl at the record store that Hurley had a crush on, and finally asked to attend a concert with him?

Answer: Starla

Starla and Hurley were obviously good friends. She was very friendly with him and said that quitting his job was "messin' with her world view". Apparently Hurley was also extremely predictable in the real world. He asked her to go to a concert on Friday, but she had to work and said Saturday would be better.

This shocked his friend Johnny, who said Hurley had become 'Fabio' all of the sudden. Hurley just wanted to ask her out before he claimed the money, to be sure she really liked him.
10. Libby told Michael that how many original survivors came from the back of the plane?

Answer: 23

Of course it was 23, that is one of the numbers! When they arrived at their hiding place, presumable another "hatch" of Dharma's, he only found another 3 or 4 besides Ana, Libby, and Doc. One of those people was Rose's husband Bernard. We are left to wonder what happened to the rest of the 23 tail-section survivors.
