Polk Street, San Francisco. Margaret grew up on Polk Street in San Francisco during the 1970's.
A Bookstore. 'My family owned a bookstore when I was growing up on Polk Street, which was one of the gayest streets you could live on. My mother was in charge of the gay porn section. Everyday, she would unpack the books and say, 'I don't know why we have these boooooooks...' '

To see if there is food. 'I panic in advance. That's what I do. Like if I'm in a plane, and there's turbulance, I immediately look in my purse to see if there's food that I'm going to have to hide from the other survivors...'
