Romano, Ray
Alexandra, Matthew, Gregory, Joseph. Ray and his wife, Anna, have four children. Their daughter, Alexandra, was born in 1990. A few years later, in 1993, twins, Matthew and Gregory were born and in 1998, Joseph, was born.
1991. Ray's dream of doing a stand-up act for Johnny Carson on "The Tonight Show" happened on November 15, 1991. After receiving national exposure, David Letterman invited him on his show & soon began the work for Ray's own show. David Letterman is one the executive producers of "Everybody Loves Raymond".
Kite. In October 1999, Ray's first book, "Everything and a Kite", was published by Bantam Books and released in the United States. Ray also released an audio CD titled, "Ray Romano: Live at Carnegie Hall", (Sony, 2001). All the proceeds from the sale of this CD were donated to the September 11th Fund.
1999. Ray recorded his June 1999 performance at Carnegie Hall and named it simply, "Live at Carnegie Hall". It was released in the U.S. on October 2, 2001 on the Sony record label. This album was also nominated for a Grammy at the 44th Annual Grammy Awards in 2002 for Best Spoken Comedy Album. The skits on the CD include, "Carnegie Hall", "Italian & Jewish", "Bachelor Party", "Potato Chips", "Juice", "Stupid Joke", "Politically Incorrect Joke", "Forty", "The Shower", "The Bed", "The Duties", "The Shopper", "Adult Movie", "The Baby", "Diapers", "2 year-olds", "Twins", "They Say Funny Things", "The Tub" and "Sex".
2. Ray appeared on the cover of "TV Guide" twice in 1999. Once on the February 20, 1999 issue and again on the September 4, 1999 issue.

1999. Ray first hosted "Saturday Night Live" on March 13, 1999, with musical guest, The Corrs. Ray hosted a second time on April 12, 2003 with musical guest, Zwan.
