Green Arrow
He made a genetic blueprint of Oliver from a microscopic sample of DNA culled from Superman's clothing.. Chuck Dixon planned to bring the original Green Arrow back from the dead by having Hal Jordan pull him from the fatal plane crash in the instant before the explosion, but Kevin Smith chose to have Parallax steal his old friend's DNA from the cape Superman was wearing at the time the tragedy happened.
He's Oliver's natural son.. Stanley Dover had put a "blood seal" on the building -- a magical spell blocking entrance by anyone who wasn't a blood relation of someone in the house.
Ollie's "soul" refused to leave heaven.. Oliver, having found true peace for the first time ever, refused to give it up and return to his miserable life. He finally agreed to let Hal resurrect his body only.
Boston Brand. Boston Brand, aka Deadman, was sent as emissary to reassure Green Arrow's friends that the Demon hadn't actually destroyed him.
Oracle. The Martian Manhunter wondered who was going to break the news to Dinah, but it was her partner Oracle who actually told her Oliver had reappeared.
Connor's life depended on it.. Although every one of those things played a part (he later told Dinah that when he left heaven, he did so hoping they could be together again,) the knowledge that his son was about to be killed persuaded Oliver to "do the right thing for a change."
"Oh dear Lord, we meet again". As a treat for the old-school fans, Kevin Smith had the "younger" Ollie still using all his famous trick arrows, but when body and soul were reunited, the more mature Oliver was appalled.
Batman. Batman insisted on proof before he would accept that his old friend had really returned from the dead. The Dark Knight kidnapped Green Arrow and took him to the Batcave to run a battery of tests on him while he was unconscious.
Stanley Dover. The bloody serial killer was none other than kindly old Stanley, Green Arrow's landlord and benefactor.
Hal resurrected him at the happiest time of his life -- ten years ago.. Oliver would only allow Hal to resurrect him at the point in his life when everything was great, before the first time he killed. As a result, the "husk" Green Arrow had no memory of the last ten years until body and soul were joined. As Batman discovered, he is also physically ten years younger, lacking any of the scars acquired in the intervening years. Good thing, too -- Ollie was pushing fifty when he died!
Superman. Superman and Green Arrow are standing by his grave when this scene takes place. Oliver sees pictures of the funeral, but notices one face he doesn't recognize.
Oracle. Oracle is Barbara Gordon, the former Batgirl whose spine was shattered by a gunshot fired by the Joker. Confined to a wheelchair, she now supplies information to superheroes whenever they need it. Her base of operations is Gotham City.
Catman. Talk about not being original! Catman even had catarangs, much like Batman has batarangs. Thomas Blake was a famous hunter who had become bored when he took up costumed crime.
Shade. A strange choice, for not much is known about him! Oliver wanted all signs of his life erased so his secret identity and the identities of those he loved would be safe. This character is not the same as Shade the Changing Man.
Green Lantern. In this trade paperback, Green Lantern is Kyle Rayner. Queen used to be very close with Hal Jordan, the previous Green Lantern, and describes seeing Kyle as "like someone showing up at your house on Halloween dressed as your dead best friend."
Chili. Queen makes some chili for dinner, and plans on proposing to his longtime lover Dinah Lance, aka Black Canary. He doesn't go through with it, feeling that the timing wasn't right.
A Green Lantern ring. Hal Jordan, as Green Lantern, gave Green Arrow a Green Lantern ring in case the former someday went crazy with power. All Green Lanterns derive their power from their rings, which channel the wearer's willpower.
Queen knew about Connor all along. Oliver Queen had always pretended that Connor Hawke was a son he had never known about, but the photograph is of a younger Queen and baby Connor, on the latter's first full day of life.
The British Green Arrow. The real Green Arrow from Britan was knocked out, and a convict took his place, hoping to get revenge on Green Arrow of America! Luckily the situation was defused--literally!
Superboy. Superboy, using a fantastic machine, gazes into to future and learns that Oliver Queen and Green Arrow are one and the same. When a young Queen becomes Superboy's neighbor, the young Kryptonian is determined to put a bow in the boy's hands.
Green Arrow unknowingly trains a criminal in the ways of archery! What does this rascal assume as his supervillainous alter ego? | Showcase Presents "Green Arrow"

The Crimson Arrow. Posing as a well-meaning millionaire, the criminal, who stole every dollar of his fortune, hires Green Arrow to teach him archery. He then uses his own trick arrows to steal from everyone!
