    How many umpires is there on the ground in an AFL match?AFL Game Rules

      7. There is two goal umpires, two boundry umpires, and three field umpires. There is also emergancy umpires but they are not on the ground.

    How long is the goalsquare?AFL Game Rules

      10 meters. The Fullback and the full forwards hang around the goalsquare but not always. Fullback kicks in from the behinds.

    How many points is a goal worth?AFL Game Rules

      6. 9 points is a goal kicked from outside the 50m line in the preseason, 3 points is a rushed in preseason, and 1 is a normal behind. Goal umpires judge if it is a goal or a point.

    What colour and how many flags do the goal umpires wave for a goal?AFL Game Rules

      2 white. Two orange is for a 9-point goal, 1 orange for a 3-point behind, and 1 white is for a behind. The goal umpires keep score.

    How long is each quarter (not including time on)?AFL Game Rules

      20 minutes. Most quarters last 30 minutes approximately with time on.

    Where can you legally tackle?AFL Game Rules

      Between the knees and the shoulder. A below the knee tackle, the umpire will award a free kick for a 'trip'. Above/over the shoulder, and they will call 'too high'.

      Oval. The goals are at either end (long ways). The interchange bench is on the side.

    How far does the ball have to travel off the boot to be a mark?AFL Game Rules

      15m. The umpire will call "Play on, no 15" if it is not far enough. It may not be a mark off a handball.
