London County. London County C.C. was formed by the directors of the Crystal Palace Company and played its home games at the Palace. Its games against first-class teams were given first-class status from 1900 but it was not admitted to the county championship. However, despite W.G.'s prestige, the club could not pay its way. It lost its first-class status after 1904, and was dissolved at the end of the 1908 season. W.G. played 63 first-class games for the side, scoring 3,485 runs and taking 135 wickets.
