Yankees 2002
Nick Johnson. It was in game 4 of the ALDS against the Angels. The Yankees lost the Series 3 games to 1, and the final game score of 9-5
Jason Giambi. He got hit by a pitch 15 times. Giambi was hit 13 times the previous season with Oakland.
Mike Stanton. He appeared in 79 games, one game more than Steve Karsay. Stanton went 7-1, while Karsay was 6-4 for the season.
Roger Clemens. He issued 63 walks in 187 innings. Roger mainained his balance by still striking out 192 batters.
David Wells. He allowed 210 hits in 2002, probably by pitching in over 200 innings for the season. Mussina pitched 215 innings, and allowed 208 hits.
Alfonso Soriano. He had 209 hits. Soriano and Bernie Williams were the only Yankees in the season to hit the 200 plateau, when Williams smacked 204.

Roger Clemens. Roger had 192 K's in 2002, just barely ahead of teammate Mike Mussina who struck out 182. In the 2002 season, Clemens surpassed the 3900 mark for career strikeouts.
Bernie Williams. Williams batted .333. There were only 3 Yankee starters to bat over .300 in 2002. The other two were Jason Giambi with .314, and Alfonso Soriano with .300.
Jason Giambi. Giambi had 122 RBI. This was Giambi's first year with the Yankees. He played for the Oakland A's from 1995-2001.
Alfonso Soriano. He struck out a tremendous 157 times. Alfonso and Jorge Posado were the only players to strikeout more than 140 times. The 3rd slot belonged to Jeter with 114.

David Wells. Wells won 19 games. Mussina was a close second with 18. The great Rogers Clemens, who turned 39 during the season, as did David Wells, finished his season 13-6.
Alfonso Soriano and Robin Ventura. They both committed 23 errors. The player who played between them in the likes of Derek Jeter, committed 14 errors at shortstop.
Jason Giambi. Giambi hit 41 HRs. Alfonso Soriano was a close second with 39. This was Giambi's first season in the 'pinstripes'.
