1. What 20th Century newest team was the last to join the National League?

Answer: Arizona Diamondbacks

The Arizona franchise came into play in 1998. They continue to be surprisingly well for an expansion team.
2. What number did Lou Gehrig wear on his jersey?

Answer: 4

Gehrig wore the number 4 for the Yankees. His number was the first in baseball history to be retired in 1939.
3. Which of the following managed a Major League club?

Answer: All of them did

All three managed and led their teams to championships. Cochrane took the Tigers to a 1935 World Series, as did Alston with the Dodgers in 1955, 1959, 1963, and 1965. Cox won the World Series in 1995 with the Atlanta Braves.
4. The San Francisco Giants blossomed from which town in 1958?

Answer: New York

They were the New York Giants from 1885-1957 before moving to the bay area of San Francisco. They brought with them their long lasting rivalry with the Dodgers who also came from the New York area.
5. Hall of Fame great Harmon Killebrew played for which of the following teams other than the Twins?

Answer: Kansas City Royals

Killebrew began his career in 1954 with the Washington Senators. He moved to Minnesota and became a Twin in 1961. In 1974 he was traded to the Royals of Kansas City where he hit his last 14 home runs of his career stat of 573 before he retired that year.
6. Which 20th Century team never made it to the World Series?

Answer: Angels

All teams listed appeared in at least one World Series. The Angels never made it in the 20th Century. They did win their division in 1979, 1982, and 1986.
7. What team did Al Kaline play for?

Kaline spent all his 22 seasons with the Tigers and retired in 1974. He fell 1 dinger short of the 400 career home run mark.
