How many people does it take to lift a ton?

This question cannot be answered. It can take many people, but it really depends on how strong the people are, where they are located to lift the object, and how the ton is distributed. For instance, a solid block that weighs a ton would be much harder to pick up than, say, a giant snake that weighs a ton. It would also take a lot less people to lift the snake than the block, and if you have strong people, even less to lift it.
