How do you turn the traffic announcements off in a Mercedes class A, C or E?

"I know how long you hold the mute button down to make the traffic announcement system go away."

So, maybe holding down the mute button?

Ta. I know if you hit the 'radio' button the TA goes away - until the next one from Radio Shropshire arrives (very useful when you're southbound on the M6 at Stafford...) I'll try that mute button one. I've tried every other button I can find...

**Go into the setup on the radio, and disable it - should be in your manual, and I don't have mine handy.

**Ok, this is for the A10 in my C - hit the mute key while you are listening to the radio - should toggle through mute/TA off / TA on / mute.. Settings only allows you to set the TA volume level.

The mute button works a treat - peace at last! You just hold it in till the set goes boop, and the TA goes from the window (or comes back if you're putting it on...). Once again, thanks both from me and from a colleague who was having the same problem.
