In the 1991 film "Fried Green Tomatoes", does Cleo make any appearance at all besides the mention of his name? The name Drew Wilkins appears in the credits but is there actually an appearance in the film?

Going to Internet Movie Database (IMDB) reveals that a longer DVD cut of the movie has become available. One of the scenes adding a minute or so for backgreound clarification is one early on of schoolchildren. Drew Wilkins may be one of those re-included cast.
Many times, seceral hours worth of story is put on film and it is whittled down to the hour and a half we all are familiar with in the editing room, leaving many roles on the cutting room floor. According to IMDB, Drew Wilkins is in an uncredited role. This often means that the actor appeared and had no lines or had lines that were cut from the film (and maybe cut completely). These characters are listed in cast lists so they can truthfully claim their participation in productions. One of these scenarios may account for the question of Wilkin's appearance and that Wilkins may be in the extended cut.

I don't remember seeing the character in the movie but on a couple of discussion boards they do mention the character's appearance in the movie...

"ALSO, they totally showed a younger Cleo and it was clear he was Idgie's brother AND old Ninny said something at some point about marrying Cleo."
