What is the Prestone behind the Prestone brands?

Surprisingly, I could find no explanation online for this brand name, which began use in 1927. Prestone's own history page does not include that aspect: https://prestone.com/about-us/

It was launched as Eveready Prestone in 1927 by the National Carbon Company, which would eventually become Union Carbide.
