Beatrice Straight, the actor with the least screen time to ever win an Oscar, won the Best Supporting Actress for "Network" (1976). She was on screen for only 5 minutes and 2 seconds and won it for a single monologue where she responded to her husband's infidelity. Besides this Oscar, the film won another three Academy Awards, for Original Screenplay (Paddy Chayefsky), Actor (Peter Finch), and Actress (Faye Dunaway). The movie received eight nominations, including Best Director (Sidney Lumet) and Best Picture.
