The full name is often shortened when the context is clear, just as many Harry Potter books and films are referred to omitting "Harry Potter and" from the beginning of their full title. The link shows the shortened form was used in the preface to a collection of Brecht's plays.

It seems that in newspaper articles about the play' production will shorten it and also, it has been adapted many times and it seems that when that happens it often gets the shorter name:
