In any F1 race, what is the slowest corner? Is it Sainte-Devote in Monaco?

According to this article, right race, wrong corner. In this case the slowest is The Loews Hairpin with an average speed of just 27 mph (45 kph). Monaco has several of the slowest corners on the whole calendar - maybe that's why it's so difficult to pass there - that and the street track aspect.

A little bit o' history...

Originally called the Station Hairpin, as it was the site of the old train station, it was then renamed the Loews Hairpin after the hotel built on the site. It got more confusing as the hotel changed hands, and the corner became the Grand, Sun Casino and then Fairmont Hairpin in succession. It's one of the few that keeps changing names, despite it also being one of the most recognisable turns on the circuit. It's incredibly tight and F1 pilots have been known to try all kind of fancy tricks to get around it faster. The typical speed in modern F1 cars for the turn is 65kmph and the odd driver does try to overtake here, though it usually ends badly.

The slowest corner in any Formula 1 race is the Fairmont Hairpin (Turn 6) at the Circuit de Monaco, not Sainte-Dévote. While Sainte-Dévote (Turn 1) is a tight, 90-degree right-hander famous for opening-lap bottlenecks, it is navigated at a much faster speed of roughly 90 to 110 km/h (55 to 68 mph). The Fairmont Hairpin-historically referred to as the Loews Hairpin or Grand Hotel Hairpin-forces drivers to slow to a crawl of just 45 to 50 km/h (27 to 31 mph). The 180-degree turn is so severe that F1 teams are forced to install specially modified steering racks with a wider steering lock just to physically make it around the bend.

A bit of clarification here, the point of my submission was not to provide an answer, it was to show that hairpin turn in the first answer has had several names over the years, so the Lowe's Hairpin (first answer) is now known as the Fairmont Hairpin.
