Has snow ever fallen in Machu Picchu, Peru?

Based on the elevation 9060ft, the likelyhood of snow ever having fallen on this mountain-top is great.

I found this site earlier but held off posting it on the assumption that someone would provide factual information. Whether snow falls directly on Machu Picchu I can't say, but it appears that it can fall on the Inca Trail leading to the site -- and in August.

yes it has on one freak day during the civilization 6 inches of snow fell, leaving the citizens wondering if it was sent from their gods...

The site of Machu Picchu has a relatively mild climate in spite of its altitude, and rain seems to be more likely than snow:
