The 1994 album Smash by The Offspring is the best-selling independent label album of all time.

As of 2008, Smash is credited as the highest selling independent album of all time selling 11 million copies worldwide. Smash has also continued to sell consistently well in the fourteen years since its release. The album has also been certified 6x Platinum in the United States.
