Some good choices listed. I cannot come up with one that tops the rest. But, for now, I will select Leonardo DaVinci So many inventions, artworks, and ideas. We would talk for days. I would need an interpreter though, haha! Reply #104. May 03 17, 11:15 AM |

Like most people, I could think of a long list of folk, but just keeping it at one for now, I would really love to meet Chuck Norris. Besides the fact that he is a very friendly, down to earth, humble man, which is quite noteworthy considering he is a seven time world karate champ, he is also from my home state of Oklahoma, and I would love to chat and clown around with the guy. I would love to play around and call him Cordell Walker and Colonel Braddock and names of other characters he has portrayed. One thing I absolutely could not resist saying to him is...."Tell me something, Colonel Braddock, is it true that you let some of your men die in a prison camp rather than admit to your war crimes?" That was something said to his character by one of the bad guys in one of the Missing in Action movies. You should see the look Chuck's character gave that guy. I wouldn't want him looking at me that way! No way! Reply #105. May 16 17, 11:48 PM |

Queen Victoria. She fascinates me. So incredibly complex a character. And, contrary to how history usually portrays her, she, in fact, had a wonderful sense of humour. Reply #106. Sep 22 17, 2:24 AM |

I wouldn't mind meeting Buddha - as long as it was under his famous lovely big shady tree. And Confucius too. And Henry VIII, just so I could boo him but still keep my head. I'd like to read his face. You can tell so much from facial expressions. And a lot of my ancestors while they were in their prime. They keep telling me I look like one of the Irish grannies on Dad's side. I sincerely hope not. Reply #110. Sep 26 17, 2:58 AM |

You just did Mira. There's something to be said for never meeting your celebrity idols. Having said that, Patrick Stewart would be mine. We could just talk about football. Reply #111. Sep 26 17, 3:30 AM |

I like meeting celebrities I admire! I also like lunch, dinner, and conversation, so just "meeting" them wouldn't be as much fun. I didn't list the ones I've just "met" mostly by accident -- being in the right place at the right time, or maybe the wrong place. Accidental, all of them. And not necessarily anyone I admire. Some of the people on my list aren't people I particularly like -- I just would like to sit down and have a conversation with them. Custer is not on my list -- I have a feeling he'd be a terrible listener. Please add to my list Martin Luther King, Jr. I don't know how I forgot to add him. And John Mayer, completely doable. And Sean Connery. And Robert Redford. And Brad Pitt. And Angelina Jolie. And Dustin Hoffman. And Mike Campbell (not as well-known, but he's on my list.) Reply #112. Sep 26 17, 6:20 AM |

Please add to my list: The Librarian Who Denied Melania Trump's Donation Of Dr. Seuss Books. I'd like to meet her, look her in the eyes just to see if she could make eye contact in the real world, and then ask Melania if I could have those books. I'm sure I could find a very good home for them. I wonder if Miss Librarian also burns books she doesn't personally like? Emphasis on "personal." Maybe she just needs a hug? Reply #113. Good one, Elle! Personaly, I am shy and so it would have to be in a bar, or maybe a barn, where I would run into Seabiscuit or Man O' War. I would get along quite well with them. On the human side, how about Gene Autry and Roy Rogers? Reply #114. Dec 15 17, 10:10 PM |
