I got the Challenge again and once again don't really have anything interesting to say, so here is where I usually just say something about my local weather which not even I really care about, but today I decided to engage in a mild bit of sarcasm (so fun!) You know what FunTrivia really needs (because we aren't talking about the weather enough already, you see)? About five new threads devoted to the weather. 1) Complaints about it being too hot 2) Complaints about it being too cold 3) Complaints about it being too wet 4) Complaints about it being too dry, and 5) Complaints about other people complaining about the weather, because it's too boring. I would contribute to that 5th thread. Reply #18682. Jul 13 18, 6:51 PM |

I got out of ICU yesterday. I'd been in there for a week! A week ago I was sitting at my desk when I suddenly found myself on the floor. It felt like I broke my shoulder, a number of ribs, my backbone, and had a gash in my forehead. I have no idea what happened and they have done every test you can imagine and can't figure out what happened. I managed to call 911 and the ambulance came. I never knew the human body could withstand such pain. Without Morphine every eight hours they would have had to put me in a coma to tolerate the pain. When they first asked me what my pain level was from 1 thru 10 I told them 15. I can now maintain a pain level of 6 without morphine but with another pain reliever. We put a hospitable bed in my bedroom. My sister has been incredible! For now! I'm going to move as little as I can this week and see what happens. Reply #18684. Jul 14 18, 1:33 AM |

Very up and down week. England out of the World Cup, Trump visit to London, my brother in law had operation on shoulder because first shoulder op failed, husband and I made our wills, had to take cat to the vet, my daughter got a false positive on a pregnancy test, but had to go through other medical tests to find that out. Still very hot. I'm hoping next week will be boring. Reply #18685. Jul 14 18, 1:42 AM |

Hope you're better soon nizard. Shoulder pain can be awful and it's difficult to sleep because most people in their sleep can't help putting pressure on their shoulders. Reply #18686. Jul 14 18, 1:44 AM |

The tomatoes are ripening in the garden and are delicious this year. It's dry and they need to be watered daily. Oh, how I wish it would rain. Reply #18689. Jul 14 18, 10:45 AM |

We've decided we need a third retired racing greyhound in our lives, off to the kennels today to try and choose. A difficult task, there are so many and they are all lovely. Reply #18691. Jul 15 18, 12:50 AM |

My 14-year-old dog that has had bladder cancer for two years is doing great! Precious is still having no symptoms and plays every night with the other dogs. She still think she's a puppy. Hope everybody's doing well and keeping cool during this heatwave! Reply #18692. Jul 15 18, 2:25 AM |

My son-in-law's bluegrass band had their new album released last month. It debuted at #4 on the Billboard Bluegrass Chart! They were even ahead of Alison Krauss! :) Reply #18696. Jul 15 18, 1:51 PM |

Ah, the Challenge again? So soon? Well, big surprise, it is hot in Texas in July, and by hot I mean actually hot, not 84°F or 29°C which apparently passes for hot in certain parts of Europe where the residents have no idea what hot really is. On the other hand, it isn't an actual furnace like Phoenix or the Mohave Desert or the Sahara (that kind of heat typically comes to Texas in August.) No, merely 99°F or 37°C, body temperature really, nothing too bad, especially if you stay indoors in the air conditioning which all civilized first world countries should have. Reply #18700.
