If the minibadges count, I've recently been lucky enough to buy (and complete) three Epic flags -- Red, White and Orange -- and all within the span of around two weeks. I got one on the very first buy. I can't imagine what the odds are of buying into multiple flags so quickly. (I don't know why they're so secretive about the probability of receiving an Epic. It's not like you could DO much of anything with the info if you knew it, but you'd think you had just asked for the keys to Fort Knox.) Reply #448. Aug 30 15, 11:00 PM |

I was lucky, I had a daily challenge playing in quiz mode, which I don't normally do (but have), and won the speed badge without even knowing there was one. Speaking of badges earned, especially the "monthly winner" ones ... satguru, you have enough of them to have earned the "Legendary Champion" megabadge (the Level 125 Bonus Challenge), though your profile doesn't show it. Have you looked into that at all? (It says it's given out "immediately upon completion," though for some challenges, that text is inaccurate. Jakeroo, I obviously wouldn't know which Epic you've been given in the past, but I'd say don't give up. Some are actually quite easy (at least at the one-flag level) and only take a bit of endurance more than anything. (There's another thread here in General where you can see what some of the colors involve.) Anyway, I don't know how often satguru visits this thread (maybe often, maybe not so much), but maybe someone should PM him so he knows to check the one post. Anyone here happen to know if you do in fact need to visit "Legendary Champion" manually to earn it, even though the challenge text indicates otherwise?) Reply #457. Sep 05 15, 9:44 PM |

Yes. The Legendary Champion badge must be claimed. It is not awarded automatically when one meets the requirements for it. To claim it, one must go to the Level Bonus Challenges page, then find it under Level 125 Challenges and click Legendary Champion to claim. The Level Bonus Challenges page is frequently missed even by veteran FT players. Hmm. They really need to fix the "awarded automatically" wording, then. On the topic of badges, as for one that I DIDN'T win (I was venting over on my Team Message Board), I was doing really well toward Everything Challenge, but did anomalously bad in Pot of Gold (long "submit" lag-time and somehow overlooked 2 questions) ... so I'll end the day having missed "Everything's" 22,222 by all of 345 points. I hate coming so close, and what really bugs me is that since I set a lot of new personal bests today in the hourly games, I suspect I've just made the Epic Reds much, much harder, if not all but impossible -- since it's about "beating your own best score" and now my "best scores" are very high.
