Well done briarwoodrose! I think I posted it somewhere but when I finally won it in December it had taken me over seven years from my first expert win! Great feeling to finally get it isn't it! Reply #581. Jun 16 16, 11:10 AM |

Yes! I looked back and my first wins were in 2008, and they all had to do with kids...literature, toys, etc. That was my focal point back in 2008, now they are grown up! Now I have to get the mini badge for 20 expert wins in Champions Division. That could take a long, long time. Those Champions are TOUGH! ( and super fast) Reply #582. Jun 16 16, 5:59 PM |

Congrats! Don't defeat yourself on the 20 champ wins run by psyching yourself out. I too have almost no chance going against the speed mavens, but I was able to claw my way over the line because, there are a few select niche topics where the 15/15 in 30 seconds club are highly protective of their ELO rating and seem reluctant to come out and play at all. I got a few champ wins without even getting 15 right! Reply #583. Jun 16 16, 7:04 PM |

No kidding. That's one reason why it's useful to play -- and win -- in some of the obscure, very "niche" topics in the regular division. It's easier to win against five other people than dozens and dozens. Then once those topics come back and you're one of the Champ Division players, there usually are still just a handful of competitors (again, referring to the niche topics). I would have had a couple more Champion Division wins than I do, except a couple topics didn't even get five players, so my win didn't count. (I remember similar with Gold Madness. I came out on top one day, but only 48 people had played, and there have to be at least 50 to win the award.) Reply #584. Jun 16 16, 8:12 PM |

Congratulations on your 100 Expert wins!!!!! That is a fabulous thing to win. I so excited when I won that badge so I understand how you feel. You will get those 20 Champion wins sooner than you think. Really. Keep playing for more Expert wins too. That will give you more chances for Champion wins. I won Wild Birds after my 100th win than won the Champion win less than a week later. (if I'd known it would have been that easy I would have tried the topic sooner!) Okay, back to you. Congratulations, to the person that has the prettiest flower avatar on FunTrivia!! Reply #585. Jun 16 16, 9:27 PM |

I don't think to play the expert game a lot. I have only a handful of wins. Hats off to the 100 win badge winners, new and old. That's truly impressive. Reply #586. Jun 17 16, 12:02 AM |

brm50diboll: Best of luck to you on acquiring the Lucky Duck badge! I've been a member of this site for over 9 years now & still haven't been lucky enough to get it & probably never will. It's near impossible. :P Reply #589. Jul 03 16, 2:57 PM |

You're really knocking the challenges down lately! ... If it were up to me, you'd have an Editor's Choice by now too. A number of your quizzes are more than deserving. Reply #593. Jul 05 16, 9:27 PM |

I find it amusing you finished Set List II before Set List I. Congrats on the hard work you put in for the badges lately. Reply #594. Jul 06 16, 1:15 AM |

Thank you both. I did finish II before I, but only because I had to re-do a couple of quizzes in I. Reply #595. Jul 07 16, 1:30 AM |

King of Most Trades. That took a long time. At one point, with 12 to go, I had no victories for three weeks and just about gave up hope of ever getting it. Then I won four in three days, and a couple of months later I had the badge. Reply #596. Jul 07 16, 2:08 PM |

Wow! That's one to be proud of for sure! It's funny, isn't it -- you can go through "droughts" for weeks on end with no additional wins, then suddenly find yourself having a week where you're racking them up. I've been frustrated at least a few times when the Champion Division didn't have the 5-player minimum and so the win wasn't counted. Reply #597. Jul 07 16, 8:40 PM |

Perfect madness! Been playing it once a day for a few weeks now in order to snag it. My researching skills suitably up to the task despite not researching in any other games except when I was trying for obscure researcher. Reply #598. Jul 10 16, 3:00 PM |

Yesterday I finally got round to getting the Buzzy Bee Scavenger badge. I had drawn the Epic: Scorer challenge, so I needed to rack up as many points as possible. I was helped in my task by a "friendly" category - Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar", a play I am reasonably familiar with. Of course, the magic quiz was the very last one I played :D! Reply #600.
