I felt that is was a bit of a put to sleep movie, with a sprinkling of action here and there, but on the whole, it was a little, well, you know, boring.

*SPOILER*

The beginning and ending were great. But the middle part was just too lengthy and boring, featuring the trio with all those conversation in the jungle. I almost fall asleep. Looking forward to watching Part 2 though, which is approximately 8 months from now.

It was simply amazing.

People complaining about the middle... well, blame JKR, she wrote the book :P I think they actually cut down those camp scenes quite a lot, but still included what they needed to. HP is not all about action :P

I must say though, I LOVE the cute Dobby they've done for this movie. :D I liked him before, but they made him so so adorable in this one! ^^ It's unfortunate how that ends. :(

I have to say that the entire movie was beautiful. It's hard to say if I'm disappointed at how much they glossed over, or amazed and how very human they made Harry, Hermione and Ron. This was easily's Ron's big moment in the movies so far, and Rupert Grint was fantastic. Helena Bohham Carter also got everything she could out of her limited screen time. And I thought the Deathly Hallows scene was brilliantly done.

The only problem is I'm not sure how much the movie makes sense if you hadn't read the books. I've read and reread them all so much as to have to buy second copies, so I'm not the best to judge. But I feel like the "camp" scenes are necessary to keep casual fans interested and up to speed (so much information is given out in these scenes...info about the war, horcruxes, history, etc.).

Essentially, if you have to compare it to Empire Strikes Back or Attack of the Clones (other "bridge" movies, clearly designed to get you to the final installment), you'd have to say it's better than both of those. Maybe that's the best review I could give it.

I agree with reeshy. Dobby was so adorable in the movie. :) It's a poignant scene when he died in Harry's arms.

I thought they did a fantastic job and wouldn't mind going to see it again :)

To me it's the best since the first one. My quibble with the HP films is that they often sacrifice some of the interesting characters and dialogue to concentrate on the action. Splitting this into two parts meant they had the time to do both. Action fans should really enjoy the next one.

The young actors have really come on, especially Rupert Grint.

Finally I found some time to watch it. I didnĀ“t expect much, so it was a pleasant surprise for me. I liked the scene when Harry tried to cheer Hermione up by dancing.

I have to agree with all of you about the camping parts. But personally, i think the movie went by too quickly. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE SECOND PART!

They should have shown Doby's grave marker. It would have made it a more poignant scene.

I agree with the others, a bit boring with a sprinkling of action to keep you awake. I know that stuff ahd to happen, but that doesn't mean it's interestiong.
I've been to that rocky cliff place in the movie, it's called Salt and Pepper.

I loved the part where they went to Godric's Hollow.
