Are you sure you made them the same way both times? You may have been off with the measurements of the ingredients for the second batch. That's one possibility. Reply #1. Jun 19 14, 2:44 AM |

I got the measurements right. I have to convert from American to UK so double check everything! Reply #2. Jun 19 14, 2:56 AM |

Sounds like too much liquid... that could be too much chocolate or too much humidity in the air, compared to the last time. Was it the same brand of peanut butter? Also, are you certain your oven is functioning properly? If it is off, the batter won't cook right. If it worked the first time, there must be something that is different this time. Reply #3. Thank you for that. Based on what you have said, it may have been the peanut butter. It was a lot warmer when I made it this time and it was a little sloppy. If I try again, I will do all of the conversions beforehand and make sure! Reply #4. Jun 20 14, 7:28 AM |

Make sure that you don't forget any of the ingredients. Sounds like my kind of brownies! Reply #6. Jun 22 14, 6:41 PM |

I tried again - and disaster. Not quite as bad as last time, but most disappointing Reply #7. Jun 26 14, 10:06 AM |

Would you share the recipe, lonely-lady? I'm curious, and very sympathic by the way, as to why you've had two failures after an initial success. I know I have problems with my brownies, depending upon the weather. How very frustrating for you. Reply #9. Jun 26 14, 7:46 PM |
