Subject: The Author's Kitchen

In the relatively near future, a new quiz-writing game will be launched here at FunTrivia. Instead of focusing on idea creation, like Kyle's wonderful games, this new game is meant to foster motivation.

Some of our regular authors may find the game to be ridiculously addictive! I am hoping we will attract new and former authors to start writing more quizzes. The editors have seen glimpses of what is to come and everyone is quite excited to launch the new game.

So everyone, please get your aprons ready because the tacos are coming!

Re: "Yeah, leeks, shrimp, milk and chili don't seem to go far either."

In 'Paper Mario', you're able to combine a number of awkward items to your liking and it will always result in something. Even if that something is a Mistake. ;)

Are there any plans to have "triffid' as an ingredient?

Lol likely not. Maybe it could be counted amongst the lettuce ingredient?

Here I was, naive and thinking my first submission would net a dish. NOT SO.

Randomly mixing ingredients and hoping for a dish is obviously not getting me anywhere. Will just go off and write some more quizzes.

Haha, unfortunately my quiz went online so quickly that I just missed the timing cutoff and didn't get any ingredients for it.

Randomly mixing ingredients is probably a long shot! Unless you happen to have ingredients that often go well together. Sorry Kyle, chocolate, chicken and apples were never meant to be in my eyes. ;)

Is there a complete list of ingredients available anywhere?

It's not too hard to poke around a bit and find out how many ingredients there are, and what they are :]

I've got shrimp, rice, corn, mushrooms. I could make a dinner with that!

If you can only make something once, will the recipe for it fade or be greyed out when completed?

I don't think so, but I guess you will find out when you make it! I think generally you will remember what dishes you have made because the effort to make them can be quite high. Even with 50 dishes.

I hope one of the ingredients is Vegemite :)

As long as I get "naked breakfast burrito" with pork, eggs, salsa, and cheese, I'm good. ;)

Does anyone else find themselves going to the page to try different ingredients just to see what happens, even though they still only have five?

Sugar, corn, cod, and lettuce does not a sweet corn and cod salad make.

Thumbing through the recipe book I see poutine for reedy but no red flannel hash for us New England natives or huevos rancheros for where I live now.

Yep, there is already a poutine recipe. And why not try to create a dish with the random ingredients? Someone somewhere has to be the lucky one who got the right ingredients to make the combination.

Once you get one or two quizzes online and rack up some ingredients, the best strategy is probably to look at the full recipes page and see if you can't create anything with the ingredients you've got.
